Guest guest
Hi, new member here. I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a good Neurologist in the Myrtle Beach, SC area? My father, three brothers and at least three nephews have varying degrees of CMT, but I'm not sure which one. I was also diagnosed with CMT due to clinical presence of neuropathy in both feet and family history, but the 2nd opinion DR said I don't have CMT, and he worked in a MD Clinic. To make a long story short, the neuropathy in the feet is worse. The left foot recently dropped; seems like one night it was fine, the next is wasn't. The right foot has neuropathy and has bothered me for years, but does not have a notable foot drop. In addition, while my arms, elbows, foreoarms, wrist and hands have bothered me for years, I have recently noted sensory loss, especially with regard to picking up small items, and the pain and fatigue thatI feel in the upper limbs never really goes away. Hand writing is painful/fatigueing and I can only write for a few minutes at a time. Since the neuropathy is progressing at a much faster rate now, I want to know what it is for sure. So suggestions of good Neuros in Myrtle Beach, SC area who have experience with CMT are welcome. The closest drs I could find who specifically have experience with CMT are in ton, SC, 2 hours away. I'll go there if I have to, but hate the thought of the long drive. Thanks for your help! CAthy
