This Art of Parenting group focuses on nurturing creativity and flexibility as a parent, while being present with your child. Groups begin in February. Registration begins now. www.artofparenting.net Professionals receiving this message may contact us for inquiries, participate or refer. - and Sara This experiential group is designed to empower the parent, bringing awareness of your unique parenting style while fostering a healthy connection with your child. Sharing experiences promotes safety and intimacy for parents and children to explore together. In a playful environment, the group creates a parallel process opportunity for you to manage the challenges and acknowledge the practical and emotional successes of new parenting. Through art making and discussion, each week you and others will explore a specific theme relevant to individual, family, and child development. The themes span concerns of parenting from early bonding to socialization. Exploring with one another over eight sessions creates continuity, support, and comfort. Group leaders suggest art directives tailored to address the weekly theme and provide as much direction as you want with the projects. It is not necessary to have artistic skills to benefit from our groups.
