Guest guest
Chuck-- Based on your astute recommendation and that of others here, I purchased a copy of Drake & Drake to add to my library. About the same time, my employer updated my QLDB as an MT week gift. I'm still getting comfortable with Drake & Drake but I've used it enough to say I wouldn't want to be without it, so I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I'm sleeping with it. However, one thing I like about QLDB is the " Indication/Therapeutic Category Index " . More than once, I've had a mush-mouthed doc treating a patient for a certain condition and I could only decipher part of what he's saying. Each time I was able to successfully determine the appropriate drug by looking under the condition in the index (hypertension, antiarrhythmic agent, etc.). I have a feeling I'm not going to want to be without either of these references:) I also received my own personal copy of Instant Text today! Thank you to all for your input on abbreviation expanders--6 weeks ago I didn't know what one was! I used the download of QuickScript as a trial and after the initial 'breaking-in' period, knew I couldn't live without it. Instant Text had some features that I thought I would like better than QS, so I went that way. Thanks to those of you who let me pick your brain about Instant Text specifics<g>! I'm enduring another breaking-in period but it will be even shorter now that I've had an intro to expanders and I can tell I'm really going to love this! Chuck, hope the new job goes well and your D & D arrives quickly! in Iowa BNB Fabric http://www.netins.net/showcase/bnbfabric/index.html cweb@...
