Some kids have the adult response to phenol intolerance, which is

chronic fatigue, so you can consider that

http://www.danasview.net/phenol.htm

Black shiners is usually a sign of detox/intolerance, commonly phenol

intolerance but can also be other foods, supplements, yeast, or

environmental issues.

Low muscle tone can be helped by adding Carnitine.

Add the supplements you list one at a time, because some of them can

cause problems, especially if your son is phenol-intolerant.

Hi Kristian,

I just read Dana's response to this post and it reminded me of our

carnitine trial. We used the prescription form of Carnitine called I

think Carnitor. Anyway, it made the happiest, sweetest

little guy. It also made him HUNGRY. He ate very well while taking

it.

Unfortunately, it also increased his stimming, pretty dramatically

after about a month of taking it. That's why we stopped. But for

the mood aspects and the muscle tone, it might be worth trying for

sometime.

Meg,

A product called Balance Plus from www.devita.net helped my energy level.  It is

designed to help boost your mood and keep your body in balance.  It was created

by combinign ancient Chinese medicine with modern science.    It comes in a

powder or capsules.

It helped but I still wasn't where I wanted to be so I saw a doctor of osteopath

and after testing, I now am taking progesterone, enzymes, probotic and things

for adrenal support, (CoQ10 is one of them.   Vitamin D level is important

also.

Just today I got a book in by L. . N.D., D.C. Ph.D.   " Adrenal

Fatigue The 21st Century Stress Sndrome "    What it is and how you can recover

Energy, Immune Resistance, Vitality, and Enjoyment of Live  is on the cover.  It

is all about lifestyle.  No coffee, tea, or colas.  Believe in your recovery.

There is a whole page of things to do.   One is to take 1,000 mg of Vitamin C

complex with 200 mg magnesium and pantothenic acid at approximately 2PM to avoid

3-4 PM low.   Another is be in bed before 10PM.   I have broke that rule first

day.

Hope you feel better soon and hopefully you don't have to retire just yet.  Once

when I was thinking of retiring because I felt so bad,  my rheumatoligist said

most people with RA did better to keep working.   If my job had been realy

physically demanding I would have had to retire sooner than I did.

Methrotrexate was my miracle drug.  It kept me functional.    Hope you can find

one that works for you soon.

Sorry didn't mean tor this reply to be so long.
