Guest guest
, you do not have to express any certain religious preference to take the exemption. I took it for my 5y/o twins just a few months ago when they started kindergarten. All you have to do is sign the form stating you do not want them to have the shots. The school has no right to ask you about your religious preference.

Guest guest
Hi I would urge anyone able to move and to homeschool to possibly consider moving to Texas. Homeschoolers in Texas are in charge of their own homeschool and do not have to report to any school district about the shots. Guest guest
Hello : The first thing you need to do is to understand the exemptions that your state allows. I believe that all states have a medical exemption, most states have a religious exemption, and some states have a philosophical exemption. If you are not able to use the medical exemption, which would come from a doc then the religious one can be used. Some states are very specific about what's required, others can be more general. Check out these sites for more info: http://www.access1.net/via/STATES/howto.htm http://www.access1.net/via/ Also be aware that even if your state has all three exemption your school district may be predisposed to fight you every step of the way. Some people, although meaning well, are extremely misinformed. They may really believe that they are protecting your child by fighting you to get the immunized. Regardless of their understanding of the law or their motivations, no one can make you immunized your child and keep them out of public school. They can be a really big pain in the backside and cause you much time, effort, and energy to get what the Law has and still provides, an exemption. Guest guest
I live in Kansas, and all I did was ask the school nurse for the vaccine exemption form. She handed me a form...not the right one, I said the one I sign because my son will NOT be having any more shots, not the one aimed at bullying me into it!!!! She handed me the form and I signed. Here it is also for Philosophical reasons. The main tenant of my belief is " HARM NONE " . The golden rule could even apply! My doctor signed the one the year before, but I didn't feel like bothering him when I could take care of it The doctor didn't sign it easily, he said he couldn't agree to no tetanus. A few weeks later my son stepped on a rusty nail, the doctor said I had 3 days to find one that was mercury free, I couldn't, went back in and said I would take the chance with the vaccine..not tetanus, he said NO (much to my surprise.) He spent the next half hour on the phone calling all the vaccine manufacturers to find one, they all said the couldn't make one stable without mercury yet. Then he called the ER to see if their imunoglobulin was mercury free and sent us over there to get the imunoglobulin. Then he signed the form. He said the imunoglobulin only lasted about 3 months, so if Tristan even had a scratch that started to look infected to call and he would arrange for the imunoglobulin until there was a tetanus vaccine with NO mercury. We checked his titers last spring and his were still high enough to be covered. Guess we need to do that again soon. Good Luck!! Guest guest
What state are you in, 48 have exemptions that you can get either medical, religion, or person reasons. Mississippi and West Virginia have very difficult medical exemptions. I know, I live in Mississippi, and it is almost impossible to get the exemption. My DAN! doctor spent 30 minutes talking to the head of the state health department trying to help me and got nowhere!! I did get the exemption, but it took an attorney. To find out your state laws go to www.909shot.com laws and exemptions are listed there. Godd luck. [ ] vaccine exemptions > This is my first posting since joining 3 months ago. Guest guest
You are fortunate. I also live in Kansas and am a chiropractor but was forced to have ours polluted. It depends on your school districts nurse and her bull headedness. I personally attribute our youngest daughter corrupted immune system leading to cancer on mercury shots and the live virus polio with SMV40 but that another issue. The religious stance is a stronger one in face of the ignorant. C. W. Re: [ ] vaccine exemptions I live in Kansas, and all I did was ask the school nurse for the vaccine exemption form. Guest guest
I'm in Indiana, and home school. We don't, as yet, have to answer to anyone. We're supposed to provide an equivalent education (not defined) and be in school 180 days. That's it. I've never reported anything to anyone. And none of my kids are vaccinated. I wonder how many states are easy to home school in. Lolita >Hi >I would urge anyone able to move and to homeschool to possibly consider >moving to Texas. Guest guest
melissa, there is specific wording you have to include in an exemption. for a religious exemption in MA the wording is " in conflict with my sincere religious beliefs " find your states wording and you are home free. good luck, laura
Guest guest
>Does anyone know which religions do not vaccinate? When my son entered school (CA) I wrote a letter refusing the vaccinations due to personal religious beliefs. No one questioned it. You should not have to site a particular religious affiliation as far as I know. Becky
Guest guest
And even if you do decide to use a religious exemption - you don't have to send $75 to some made up church. That just sounds like a rip-off. Research it on the net and in the library - there are tons of people out there who have information to offer about vaccine exemptions and how they vary from state to state. It's not hard to find. M. Guest guest
SmV40 is monkey virus and it mutates with human tissue incorporating that virus DNA into their bodies. This is being looked at in connection with reduced immune system and a possible increase in susceptibility for certain type of viruses. I have read their summary of the research and saved it some where, will have to go looking for it. C. W. Guest guest
Mississippi is a very easy state to homeschool in, all you do is sign a paper at the city hall saying your homeschooling your child and tell the names of the books you are using and their age. If your child is special need, you don't even have to do that, I went to sign up my autistic child along with my NT son, and when she saw w he was autistic and simply doing ABA she said I didnt' have to sign him up again unless he catches up and starts doing real class work. Oddly enough this state is vaccinate crazy, but if you are HS nobody even bothers to ask about that issue! [ ] Re: vaccine exemptions > I'm in Indiana, and home school. I see someone has already given my site LOL, here is my direct page http://www.autismchannel.net/dana/parent3.htm#vaccines Basically, the state has no right to tell you what are your religious beliefs, nor does the state have the right to require you to join an established religion. So long as you state that they are your " sincerely held religious beliefs " , that is the only requirement, per the federal Constitution, altho certain states [like Texas last I checked] can get nasty about this. Guest guest
Could anyone give me advice on what to tell my 4 1/2 month old's peditrician re: his shots? I have a 3 1/2 yo moderately autistic son and I know it was caused by his shots. He has already received the first dose of DTaP and 6 weeks later he received the HIB, prevnar and pneumoccal. His is due for his 4 months shots this Friday and I just do not want to do anymore. The only shot that I am willing to do is the HIB. My son is such a beautiful bright baby and I can't bear to see what happened to my other son happen to . I love my oldest son dearly but I wouldn't want my youngest to go through everything that my oldest is going through. It is such heartbreak seeing my oldest go through all of the supplements, medicines, etc. Any advice? Also, what do I do when it is time to go to school? Where do I get the exemption forms from? Thanks! Jean Delaware

Guest guest
You can get the exemption for school from the files here or I can send you one. I'm sure there are a lot of us who have one to share. This is what you tell the Ped. You tell him that you are convinced the vaccines did this to your son and that you've spent hundreds of hours researching this issue. Then you simply say " no " . I said no when my daughter turned 9 months and I never looked back. She is now 4-1/2 and by far my healthiest child. In fact, she's only been to the doc twice since 9 months. Once for an ear infection and once for a gastro infection. The last trip to the doc was at 18 months. I wish I could say that about my Dyslexic and Autistic sons. a _________________________________________________________________ Join the world’s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com
