(Below is the information I received from CMT expert Greg about CMT and

Shingles - G)

They CAN and SHOULD get the vaccination

Getting herpes (shingles) on top of CMT would be horrible

The vaccination carries with it no substantial risk of causing or worsening a

neuropathy of any kind. Any inherent risk of the vaccination is far outweighed

by the risks of getting shingles, which could be a very debilitating problem for

someone who already has CMT
