Guest guest
just sent this out to us in PA, thought some of you here might be interested since it's been discussed here. (The vote was 203-0!!) Because of the phonecalls and emails that were sent by the PA grassroots advocacy organizations, WE WON OVER THE HOUSE. Speaker O'Brien has prevailed and his version of HB1150 will now go to the Senate for approval. If approved, we will have the strongest autism insurance legislation in the nation!! The amendment makes fundamental improvements that strengthen the scope of coverage for autism services. The House amendment will ensure continuity of care for families getting coverage under both private insurance and the medical assistance program by including precise definitions of care. The definitions ensure than the bill will cover essential auti! sm services, including those that prevent a child from regressing in level of functioning. Our fight is now in the Senate -- we need a concurring vote to pass the bill into legislation. Please stay with AutismLink for further information.
