Guest guest
- I so agree with your questioning this statement! I would give ANYTHING for my son to not have CMT. Not to have to watch him struggle to keep up with his peers, or to keep up with school work because he fatigues so easily. Not to have to watch the medications he takes and make sure he takes them on schedule. Not to have to be ever vigilant about side effects from the medications. Not to have to run from doctor to doctor - or have to listen to him constantly explain what CMT is to medical personnel, friends and school personnel. Not to have to worry about his psyche and future relationships and how he will do as he gets older, will he be able to drive....all the things parents worry about. I can guarantee you my son is not happy he has CMT. He accepts that he has it, and does the best he can with it, but he is not happy he has it. That to me is a ridiculous thing to state on this forum. Also, personally speaking, regardless of anyones religious beliefs or non-beliefs this is not an appropriate place to be stating that God gave someone CMT. Let's just not go there please. My son is a smart, intelligent, wonderful, warm and funny human being DESPITE having CMT not because of it! Thanks for stating your opinion so eloquently . I am certain that many more on this forum agree rather than disagree with us.
