He has also rec'd the Flinstones vits. but not the red ones. --- Candi DAVIS <cdavis642@...> wrote: > > Hello Everyone, > I'm looking for a one a day vitamin...of course > I know Dr.Goldberg doesn't like the red ones ...But > what are you guys using? Guest guest
Dr. G also okayed " Scooby-Doo " vitamins for the under-12 crowd. Except the red ones, of course. He said to stay away from the gummi-bear ones, which naturally, my son loves more than any other kind. I've seen Land Before Time and Rugrats vitamins at the pharmacy. They're probably okay because they're from known pharmaceutical companies (and therefore are not as likely to contain allergens and impurities, according to Dr. G), but I haven't asked about them. Guest guest
My son has Autism and I have noticed that when I give him a children's vitamin it seems to level him out. His temper doesn't seem to get the better of him. mjh <mhilton@...> wrote: We just started with Dr. Goldberg and he wanted to stop are use of the mega vitamins, yet I wanted my son to at least get some zinc in him (it seems to help with his mouthing and chewing). I was told to try Advanced Colloidal Trace Minerals by Future Biotics. I was wondering if any one has experience with this vitamin or could recommend another one since I will need to order the Future Biotics on. Thank you,
Guest guest
Hey , I remember that a while ago you posted a link to some basic multivitamins you were buying (maybe at CVS?). I tried the link at the time and couldn't get it to work... I keep forgetting to ask you the name of the vitamins. Would you mind posting the name? The Flintstones are so expensive, especially when you have to throw away the reds! Caroline
Guest guest
Hi Caroline, My son takes all pills that are swallowed, so I buy the basic, generic (Walgreens brand) One-a-day type vitamin. http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jsp? CATID=100146 & navAction=jump & navCount=0 & id=prod373283 http://www.cvs.com/CVSApp/cvs/gateway/detail? prodid=252270 & previousURI=/CVSApp/cvs/gateway/search? page=1^Query=cvs+daily^ActiveCat=65 They make chewable too. Hope this helps! > > Hey , > > I remember that a while ago you posted a link to some basic multivitamins > you were buying (maybe at CVS?). > > I tried the link at the time and couldn't get it to work... Guest guest
Don't you have to discard the purple ones, too? Red & blue make purple? Guest guest
I don't exactly know why, but if I remember correctly, Dr. Goldberg said we could keep the purples... I think he said it was a separate dye... but it's been a long time. Guest guest
, I'm sorry to ask again, but for some reason the links don't work on my archaic computer... I get a blank page on the Walgreen's site and a similar thing on the CVS website. I looked through all of the kids' vitamins on the Walgreen's and CVS sites... the closest things I could find to basic generic brands were... (At Walgreens) " The Land Before Time Children's Complete Multivitamin/Multimineral Supplement, Chewable Tablets " (At CVS)... CVS Children's Chewable Tablets Are those the ones? Guest guest
My environmental illness Dr. told me that for sensitive persons " clean " vitamins should be used which do not contain corn, soy, wheat and other toxic substances. I only buy my vitamins at the Health Food stores or thru NEEDS (NFI). http://www.NEEDS.com Alice I give him WALGREENS MULTIPLE VITAMINS WITH IRON He won't chew the other ones. But I am sure they are fine if they taste OK to your kids. Scientists at the Hopkins University School of Medicine say that a few squares of chocolate a day can reduce the risk of a heart attack by almost 50 per cent in some cases. Guest guest
, Please look in our Supplements and Vitamins File folder. Quite a few articles on the subject. You may also want to read the File folder articles on Vitamin C (Acorbic Acid, and on Vitamin E and Citicoline. Be sure to check our Archived posts for former posts on the Vitamin topic. The only vitamin I take is E. The water I drink has calcium, magnesium and silica in it. My experience with this has been excellent. If you need help getting to the Files and Archives, let me know. Guest guest
I plan to check GNC and other such stores for a low allergy vitamin - if you find one, please let us know. ________________________________ From: and Daron Freedberg <mdfreedberg@...> Sent: Mon, March 21, 2011 9:53:36 PM Subject: Vitamins  Hi Everyone, What brand of vitamins do you use? Dr. G really wants my girl on vitamins but I can't find any teen age vitamins that don't have red coloring. I really hate to go back to Flintstones, she feels like they are too babyish for her and I hate throwing away so many. Thanks for any help,
