Hi friends,

Because the cancer spread to my lymph nodes, and the type of cancer I have,

the treatment has unfortunately changed.

Please pray for me to have wisdom on what to do...

Here are my concerns regarding the treatments.

The Pros Cons of radiation...

Effectively reduces risk of breast cancer recurrence May cause fatigue and

skin problems . May sometimes cause serious side effects, such as swelling

in the arm, inflammation of the lung or heart damage. s small

long-term risk of secondary cancers. Requires minor surgery to implant

radiation devices for internal radiation. Daily treatment for 6 to 7 weeks,

driving to Portland.

The big challenge is... my lungs are already compromised.

After my Oncologist appointment yesterday, I found out there is only one

type of chemo that would work for my cancer... which May give me a 15% more

chance if I took it. It also Would cost me my independence, and maybe my

life. The Chemo would affect my peripheral nerves which are also already

compromised by CMT. 1-A

So, it is a " No " for Chemo.

Now I am really weighing every option when it comes to radiation..

I am researching more, and waiting to talk to my pulmonary doctor..

There is a chance radiation could cause a life threatening pneumonia due to

my compromised lungs.

Please pray that I am aware enough to hear God, and for me not to make a

decision out of fear...

Life is, what it is.

If it's my time, it is...if not... YEHA!

Be well...

Kay
