Well week 2 of work is down and I'm seeing the 'cracks' in myself. I'm getting up and working (on time, showered etc) but I can see the things that work against me.When I'm tired it's harder to pay attention to things that are not in my central interest at the time.

If a LOT of commotion is going around I have an increased sense of frustration or confusion. Concentrating on someone speaking when I'm working on something is difficult. It's hard for me to figure out when to insert jokes or not.

Lunch time is pretty difficult where and with whom do I sit?How/When to say hello But since I KNOW about AS I can then use the information and feedback my wife has given me (e.g how go to sit at a table with others already there for lunch and don't use that joke forever) to fit in.

I have to work with these people and they have to work with me. I CAN bridge a LOT of the gaps by learning about myself and about how others interact and then modify my behavior. The good thing is that by KNOWING about AS i can say OK this is why I'm confused rather than become terrified and end up in a feedback loop that can spiral out of control.

Another good thing is that the company is pretty awesome. Yes there is some of the corporate buzz words but they do care about their employees and they do have great products so I'm happy with the job. Also since it IS a tech company there are others I strongly suspect with AS.

Well off to pick my youngest from camp.... (first time away for a WEEK)Leigh
