Guest guest
Good morning fellow 'ers. I too have the unsuspected occasional cramps in the thighs, toes, fingers, and hands. Of late I am also getting the feeling like sharp " pin sticks " under the skin mainly in the leg muscles. Has anyone else had that sensation? I was just sitting in a chair last night when they started sticking me. Not hard or long in duration but they make you jump. -wheels

Guest guest
Oh YEAH! I call them lightning pains. Sometimes they zap me hard enough to cry out and jump, then it's gone. Everyone gets worried and when you say you're fine now you get funny looks. My daughter, son, father and sisters all have the same experience. At least we understand each other! What I can never understand, from a physiological point of view is how a lightning pain can cruise straight through my arm and, as if it was on a straight line course jump to my leg right where it lines up with where the arm was being zapped. That makes no anatomical sense but it happens all the time. Holli
Guest guest
I have had same sensations sometimes I thought I hit my funny bone but didn't. Steve
Guest guest
Holli - Thanks for the reaffirmation. I am new to knowing that I suffer from CMT and have become very aware of some of the quirks. I recently had a lightning strike that surprised me as I was watching TV. I reacted when my leg got quickly " stuck " and my wife said " what was that? " Just another CMT quirk to learn. Thanks. -wheels
Guest guest
Hi Wheels, I get the " pin stick lightening " sensation in my hands when I am overtired. I also get a weird " cold water down my legs " feeling. But I haven't had that in a while. Donna www.myfitnessyear.com
