Guest guest
I do believe that it is barb's blog for on one of the pages she called me a hypocrite and it was not a quote from the group message board. It was the owner of the blog making that statement. > > > > it seems that phine and I are being quoted on a blog. > > > > The quotes are being drawn directly from the bypass support group > > which I belong to and have for years. > > > > There is one particular member on the bypass group who is very > > authoritative and bossy and thinks she runs the group. Guest guest
Mayleen, it seems like my throat reaction is quite similar to what you describe. I also have an epi pen now after a couple scares but I'm afraid to use it because I'm not sure how I will react to the epinephrine. I have heart palpitations all the time; my system is always on overdrive, or, in fight/flight. Certain medications, even natural estrogen ramp up my system so that I feel I've just taken speed. Anyway, I was wondering if you have ever tried the epi pen? All the people I know from Rea's use histamine shots for their anaphalaxis and, like me, are afraid to use the epi pen. ( I don't have histamine.) So I've never met anyone with severe MCS who has actually used the epi pen. Guest guest
Hi Anne, Sorry about how you are feeling. I get a racing heart as well. I have not used the epi-pen yet. I hope not to, but I carry it always just in case. I do not have an EI Dr at the moment and am not familiar with the histamine shots. Can you tell me about them?? I carry baking soda mxed with buffered C everywhere I go. So if I feel sick from exposure I start taking it right away and sip on it anyways. Two days ago I went out in search of a temporary place to live. I took off my mask and was not wearing my 02 because I was outside near the ocean and it was hot to wear the mask About 15 minutes into being exposed a had an infection festering. It grew as a lunp which is why I knew in my mouth on a molar. So right away I ran and got my bottle of bs and c and started drinking it. About 2 hours later it started going down. I kept taking bs I prepared when I got back and drank a glass and later that evening another. I took garlic as well and by the next day it was gone. TG !! This works for me as well. Can you tell me the name of those histamine shots ?? What brand of b12 do you take if any ?? Yesterday I went out looking for some idea of a make-shift bed. The store had holiday stinks in it. Today my leg is not working well and is painful. This time the BS is not working. I have drank a glass and the bottle I always have and my leg is still bad. Like my nerves were affected. I guess I am going to try a detox bath this time. Do you get this ??   Dragonfly ... Breaks illusions, Brings visions of power, No need to prove it, Now is the hour! Know it, believe it, Great Spirit intercedes, Feeding you, blessing you, Filling all your needs. Guest guest
what type of testing is done to show non ige mediated anaphalaxis? is it based on your symptoms and a lack of ige responce ? yes, I have problems with my throat trying to close up too. > > > Yes it is the kind I have been getting from perfume. I have not full anaphalaxis but now have an epi pen since my throat swells so much I may get there. Non-allergy mediated. > >  > > God Bless !! > dragonflymcs > Mayleen

Guest guest
Mayleen, I use tri-salts or bi-salts and Vitamin C also. Sometimes I give myself shots of dephenhydramine. They work better as preventatives, though. Sometimes Bromelain helps. Strangely zinc lonzenges help when my throat gets tight. I have no idea why/how this works. I thought you had been a patient of Dr. Rea's. I guess I was wrong. The Histamine I was referring to is an antigen that will turn off reactions. I was never able to get a good " endpoint. " so I don't have a shot. Unfortunately, the only way to get the shot is to go to his clinic (or one like it) and test for it. I use B12 (methylcobalamin) by Thorne as well as Perque Activated B-12 Guard sublingual tablets. I also use garlic for sinus or gut infections (or to prevent them) or if I feel something viral going on. It's sort of a cure-all in my house. And, yes, I do detox baths with Epsom salts, sea salt and/or baking soda. Anne On Dec 17, 2009, at 12:21 PM, dragonflymcs wrote: > Hi Anne, > > Sorry about how you are feeling. Guest guest
I do know of any testing done for this, I got the epi pen on only symptom based, the Dr said I do not know what to write down for it...............but based on symptoms I was having that kind of reactions. You can get to complete anaphalaxis from swelling throat. The symptoms are the same except for how they are obtained allergy mediated, non-allergy mediated.   God Bless !! dragonflymcs Mayleen ________________________________ From: osisposis <jeaninem660@...> Sent: Thu, December 17, 2009 12:45:57 PM Subject: [] Re: this is interesting  what type of testing is done to show non ige mediated anaphalaxis? is it based on your symptoms and a lack of ige responce ? yes, I have problems with my throat trying to close up too. Guest guest
We do pretty much the same things. I was looking for another type of B-12 so I will look into those.  I also do hydrgen peroxide baths. I had an EI here but on medicaid right now and for a while so I have not had one in a few years.  Others I have do not know anything about it. One is very receptive though................  God Bless !! dragonflymcs Mayleen ________________________________ From: Anne Reach <dravr@...> Sent: Thu, December 17, 2009 12:55:36 PM Subject: Re: [] this is interesting  Mayleen, I use tri-salts or bi-salts and Vitamin C also. Guest guest
I think some doctors are starting to reconize that theres some dfferences in allergic and be sensitive, hypersensitive or reactive to something, haveing both sucks. my skin has became so sensitive my once clear skin is often itchy and rashy. > > I do know of any testing done for this, I got the epi pen on only symptom based, the Dr said I do not know what to write down for it...............but based on symptoms I was having that kind of reactions. Guest guest
Doesn't the buffered vit c already have sodium in it, to buffer it? If you drink both sodium bicarb and ascorbic acid at the same time, doesn't that knock the good of each of them out? The high ph and the low ph? I'm not sure, just wondering. I would think alternating them would be better. Perhaps an hour or so apart. > > Hi Anne, > > Sorry about how you are feeling. >

Guest guest
but really sence allergy testing can also show a " allergy " to a chemical or something like a bee sting, and anaphalaxis effects and MCS effects can be very simular, it's really hard to know where somethings began and end, hopefully science will some day be able seperate it all or get rid of the term allergy alltogether. kindof hate that word " allergy " but because it's not defined and people can get very sick from allergies and chronic exposure to a allergen because of the immune system effects, and the problem with the most common listed affects of a allergy, it's just a aggervating subject, so I dont go there much anymore. exactly why some people have ige mediated responces and some dont, I think theres still unanswered questions there, haven't been researching much lately so they may have something new on this. cant say I'm thinking to good right now so I just cant go there. > > > > I do know of any testing done for this, I got the epi pen on only symptom based, the Dr said I do not know what to write down for it...............but based on symptoms I was having that kind of reactions. Guest guest
These are products that I get from Dr. Rea's clinic, though they are sold elsewhere. Tri-salts are made up of Calcium Carbonate, Potassium Bicarbonate and Sodium Bicarbonate. Bi-Salts have just the Calcium and the Potassium. These are used, along with Vitaminc C after sauna and for reactions. Sherry also recommends them being used together.
