Guest guest
Hi Caroline, Interesting link you sent. Stem cell therapy is very new, no published research has been on CMT. And I hope you realize the difference between CMT and FSHD. The two are very different. http://www.mda.org/disease/fshd.html Many people with CMT try all sorts of 'therapies' to lessen CMT symptoms and/or to be rid of it completely. And some travel outside the US for experimental treatments. Science may one day prove treatments for slowing CMT, or fully arresting it. The only way to stop CMT from future generations now is through PGD which is still very expensive and not available for all types of CMT. Guest guest
I watched the video, but nothing was said about cost. Does anybody know? K.
Guest guest
Hello Caroline, Your info on stem cell therapy in china sounds exciting to me (CMT 1 A, 46 ys, to give a very short introduction). I searched the respective site for CMT but came up with no result. Has anyone heard of or maybe even tried stem cell therapy with CMT? Are there any reasons why it should not work, if it helps MS patients and others? What are the risks of stem cell therapy, if any? Sure I would be careful to do it, but it sounds as if it is at least worth keeping an eye on it. Take care André
