Yep, the lower my thyroid count, the lower the cholesterol. When my

thyroid is ok, the cholesterol goes way down.

I am heading to Hawaii tomorrow. Hopefully ok, as I have a

concussion from falling on the ice last night and hitting my

head. Also a wrist sprain. I can recuperate in Hawaii. It is

sooooo cold here right now, way below zero in Greeley tonight.

Yes, I am anxious to get out of this cold, cold weather.

It is the head injury that was the most worrisome, and I have a large

goose egg on my head. I certainly saw stars when I hit.

I think that it is a mild concussion, however, so in a few days I will be fine.

My sister is near St. Louis, and they have terrible ice storms

there. Hopefully leaving by tomorrow, as she is leaving on Tues. for

Hawaii. If she can get out of St. Louis.

Hi Lea,

I am not having it checked before I go as I leave here in 1 1/2

hours. Think I may have a broken bone in my hand just above the

wrist. I will have it checked in Hawaii if it still hurts as bad as

it does today.

I think my concussion is ok, just a very sore large lump on my head.

You should definitely go to Hawaii. I recommend touring the Big

Island, less commercial than Maui and lots more to see.

==>Please do not be concerned in any way about your cholesterol

readings. Cholesterol is not a predictor of any future health problems

in any way. It does not cause heart disease. In fact your own body

makes the cholesterol it needs in order to repair and protect the body,

and even if you ate no fat of any kind it would still produce

cholesterol. Also when you start on this program your cholesterol

levels will increase for some time while your body is detoxifying; even

doctors know this fact. For more information do a search about heart

disease and cholesterol at www.westonaprice.org

Hi Bee,

I found this random article online:

" Too much magnesium has been found to cause diarrhea

for at least 100 years. Large doses of magnesium

without calcium (obviously not a problem for us here

since we all take calcium too) may stimulate

intestinal Candida overgrowth in the human.

Consequently, magnesium should be taken using several

antifungal agents, and especially garlic with coconut

oil. These antifungals will also amplify the

absorption of magnesium and greatly accelerate

recovery but may increase toxicity of magnesium due to

increased absorption. Consequently, when magnesium

(without calcium) and antifungals are being used

therapeutically, potential for overdose must be

considered.

http://george-eby-research.com/html/depression-anxiety.html#tips

Could my high magnesium intake (1000mg/day) be a part

of the problems I've got with diarrhea? Also, could

this be why I'm needing such high amounts of magnesium

in order not to get cramps in my legs, that my body

simply doesn't absorb magnesium due to the candida

issue? I doubt I'm ready to start garlic already. Is

this info above correct at all?

Zack,

Thank you for the laugh! Sometimes in these groups you

need a good laugh. Candida tends to bring out the

crazy side of people. You have a good sense of humor

and after reading some of your posts, you also have a

good way of approaching things!

You are a welcome smile to my day

==>, I'm getting caught up on answering messages. That article

on magnesium is extremely false! You are taking way too much

magnesium - you should start with 300 mg twice a day each of calcium

and magnesium, and not any more or it will produce diarrhea. Other

nutrients are also important for utilizing cal/mag as my main candida

article explains. This is why it is critical to consume the correct

ratios of proteins to fats to carbs, and to take ALL of the

supplements, particularly omega-3 & vitamins A & D (cod liver oil),

vitamin E, vitamin C, B complex, etc. The diet plus supplements all

work together. Minerals must have oil soluble vitamins, omega-3 and

good fats and oils in the diet in order to be absorbed and utilized.

Dr Adkins from what  we recall reading in the papers had a not - so- serious

fall of some sort and " mysteriously " died in the hospital of all places. Go

Figure.

And that is actually low carbs, adequate protien and GOOD fats, (olive oil,

butter)

Besides, what is considered " high colesterol " Hulda states it should be

---your age +200 is normal--LOW colesterol (below 200) appears to be far more

dangerous in terms of good health

Jack...Jack,...this is how rumors get started! It was Jim Fixx who died of a

heart attack in 1977 who was the author of the book " The Complete Book on

Running "  However, there is more reason than that to be mixed up about Dr.

Atkins. Dr. Atkins was/is famous for his high fat, low carb diets.  He died

after he slipped on some ice and hit his head causing a brain aneurysm. That is

what he died of. The confusion occured when someone, sneakily (is that a word?),

got his medical records, to which they wrongfully extrapolated heart attack from

a report of a virus in his heart occurring years before and off and on. It

reportedly was not caused from any diet. The no fat, high carb believer's who

were against his high fat, low carb philosophy tried to keep the

misunderstanding(?!) alive.

He slipped on the ice coming out of a building in New York and hit his head

and died from complications of that. It had nothing to do with jogging.

Who made that silly story up? There was no mysterious things happening in

the hospital either. Good grief! There was probably bleed under the skull

and he died from the pressure or something like that.

What is the source for your statement relative to what Hulda

states about " high cholesterol " ?

I question the validity of your statement, based on what she states

in her latest two books,

The Prevention of All Cancers, and The Cure and Prevention of All

Cancers.

In Dr. 's two latest books, she states that her working range

for cholesterol from blood tests,

is 200 to 250. Then, in the Blood Test Flow Sheet: Spotting Your

Problem From Your Blood Test,

in The Cure and Prevention .... book, she states:

If cholesterol is less than 150, eat butter, cream, do liver

cleanses, parasite program.

(Note: I think the value 150 may be a " typo " , and should be 200,

since she uses

the lower and upper end of the working range in all of the other flow

sheet

recommendations - RJR)

If cholesterol is greater than 250, do liver cleanses every 2 weeks,

take milk thistle

seed. Search for thallium. Kill parasites.
