Guest guest
I talked about the book earlier. It is " Arthritis and Commonsense " by Dale . He clearly states that water is vital to our health--but we need to drink it at the right time. The article I just read was in Better Homes and Gardens and cited the lack of scientific documentation for the need for so much water (8 x 8). My family was just watching Survivor and we all said the hardest thing to live w/o would be good water. I am just trying to stay away from it during and immediately following meals so that my body can get the good nutrition I am eating. Guest guest
My exchange students have all been from Germany. You are so right about the amount of exercise. My student got up every morning to walk to school while I drove my children. She walked everywhere and would never ask and usually not accept an offer of a ride unless it involved leaving city limits. Ks Di > I think one reason that other nations might appear to be more healthy has to do with lifestyle habits. Europeans walk more than Americans which means they get more exercise, eat less processed foods and less fast foods. I never had fresh produce from a farm or fresh chicken until I moved to Portugal. It tasted so different and so much better. I am sure it is better for you too. Still, people in other countries get sick too and have arthritis as well too. In my opinion I think diseases are treated better here because we have better health care and better drugs. Just my opinion though. > > take care, > >
Guest guest
If you've done this for 20 years, it must not be hurting anything, but there really is such a creature as water toxicity...don't remember the actual name. pookiegut@... wrote:Opps! I don't have any scientific facts to back the way I feel. I just know how I feel on days that I don't drink enough. I also know that with the meds I take I am suppose to flush with water constantly to avoid kidney stones. My meds can make stones form without water intake. I have read what you are talking about in a book before... about beverage intake with meals. BUT... I didn't find any evidence to back it anywhere else. I personally believe we can make anything make sense. Drink water cause it flushes you clean and because we are made mostly of water... don't because it depletes your body... don't drink with meals because it causes nutrients in food to not digest right... I could make cases for and against all of these. I guess it's just all in what you believe, AND what makes you feel good. I can't handle less than 20 glasses of water a day. (no I am not exaggerating) I have done this for years, and I can tell at the end of everyday if I have had enough. My body lets me know! Guest guest
Ellen, thank you for posting this information about our lack of adequate hydration. It is definitely not a hoax. Water carries nutrients to the cells, carries off toxins and lubricates the joints. Proper hydration would prevent a lot of our problems. The minimum water intake should be 1/2 your weight in ounces. Oh the stories I could tell you of people who got in 'trouble' from not drinking adequate amounts of water. As for the claims about Coke, it's well known that the phosphoric acid leaches the minerals out of your bones. Maybe someone with a little time on their hands can check out the other claims. Guest guest
And if you think Coke is harmful, check out the harm that the much more prevalent dihydrogen monoxide (DHMO) can do.... http://www.dhmo.org/facts.html Dihydrogen monoxide is colorless, odorless, tasteless, and kills uncounted thousands of people every year. Most of these deaths are caused by accidental inhalation of DHMO, but the dangers of dihydrogenmonoxide do not end there. Prolonged exposure to its solid form causes severe tissue damage. Symptoms of DHMO ingestion can include excessive sweating and urination, and possibly a bloated feeling, nausea, vomiting and body electrolyte imbalance. For those who have become dependent, DHMO withdrawal means certain death. Dihydrogen monoxide is also known as hydric acid, and is the major component of acid rain. It: * contributes to the " greenhouse effect. " * may cause severe burns. * contributes to the erosion of our natural landscape. * accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals. * may cause electrical failures and decreased effectiveness ofautomobile brakes. * has been found in excised tumors of terminal cancer patients. CONTAMINATION IS REACHING EPIDEMIC PROPORTIONS! Quantities of dihydrogen monoxide have been found in almost every stream, lake, and reservoir in America today. But the pollution is global, and the contaminant has even been found in Antarctic ice. In the midwest alone DHMO has caused millions of dollars of property damage. Despite the danger, dihydrogen monoxide is often used: * as an industrial solvent and coolant. * in nuclear power plants. * in the production of styrofoam. * as a fire retardant. * in many forms of cruel animal research. * in the distribution of pesticides. * as an additive in certain " junk-foods " and other food products. Even after washing, produce remains contaminated by this chemical. Companies dump waste DHMO into rivers and the ocean, and nothing can be done to stop them because this practice is still legal. The impact on wildlife is extreme, and we cannot afford to ignore it any longer! THE HORROR MUST BE STOPPED! The American government has refused to ban the production, distribution, or use of this damaging chemical due to its " importance to the economic health of this nation. " In fact, the navy and other military organizations are conducting experiments with DHMO, and designing multi-billion dollar devices to control and utilize it during warfare situations. Hundreds of military research facilities receive tons of it through a highly sophisticated underground distribution network. Many store large quantities for later use. IT'S NOT TOO LATE! Act NOW to prevent further contamination. Find out more about this dangerous chemical. What you don't know CAN hurt you and others throughout the world. Guest guest
Dear Ute, Thank you for this. It reinforces water's importance. Ellen rheumatic Water Group, I got this through my yoga list and thought it might be of interst here. The URL at the end also has interesting health information which is in line with what we have been talking about here. >Waterworld Within >By Pradheep Challiyil > >Our bodies are 72% water for good reason. Guest guest
Hi , Reverse osmosis system will remove almost everything.Trouble is that it removes all the minerals also and one ends up having to take supplements, mostly calcium. Guest guest
We have a water ionizer which we then ozonate. So my answer is both. Guest guest
I've heard different things. Dr. Kolb told me Distilled. THe only negative about distilled is that the electrolytes are stripped from it. That is why i supplement with electrolytes. Regular bottled water is not regulated. Sometimes it's only filtered for taste. The only regulated water is Distilled/Purified. Sandy~ I'm one that can TRULY testify to the benefits of my portable infrared sauna! I used to get sooo achy... and just flat out " blah " feeling. From the moment my sauna arrived, i sat in it RELIGIOUSLY! It's true that you need to work your way up (in minutes and hot-level). I'm now up to an hour in the morning and an hour at night. I drink a lot of distilled water as well as taking my electrolytes. It's like night and day after sitting in my sauna. For a while there i had brown stuff coming out of me. (pretty gross). I took pics but i don't know how to post them. In the beginning, If i missed a session in my sauna i could tell a HUGE difference! I just didn't feel good. NOW, i don't have to sit in it as often. Sometimes I'll skip a few days. However; I love sitting in it. It's usually my " relax & wind down " time. I'll watch t.v., etc. Hope my input helps! It was one of the best investments I've made, and it was only $200 on eBay. (Brand new, portable). - ..

Guest guest
When I sold water purifiers in the past, this is what I was told, as well. It makes sense. Guest guest
Hi : can you tell me what dr., clark recommends for drinking water or water purifiers? any info is appreciated, malachryso <malachryso@...> wrote: Hello to all, In The Cure For All Diseases I found Dr. 's opinion of Municiple Water really surprizing. I think she made some very good points why it's better to drink it than bottled water or using filters. I wondered if anyone knew if she has added anything different or of interest concerning drinking water any of her more recent works. I currently drink Mountain Valley Spring water and she did mention it it the book I have and it's not good. I have suspected that this water is a problem for me for some time. I know when I pour a glass of it, it makes bubbles on top, like soapy bubbles but they go away fairly quick. Where I live we have the most expensive crappy tasting water around. People have even tried to sue because of it but where never awarded. In the summer it's warm, in the winter it's freezing cold and after a lot of rain it tastes really really bad. It even smells bad. But tests show it's supposed to be safe. Love, --------------------------------- Be a better Globetrotter. Get better travel answers from someone who knows. Answers - Check it out.
