Guest guest
Are the antibody tests for mold worth taking? Would they show that mold is making you sick, and if they come up negative would that mean it's not from mold? I'm hearing conflicting things about these tests. Thanks
Guest guest
I specifically had IGG tests done which came back elevated to several antigens from mold. Guest guest
I wonder if there is something to this question. I've been diagnosed with lyme due to a recent tic bite. The blood tests showed positive. But they do say, whether there is merit to this or not; that a patient can test negative to a lyme test, even the more comprehensive western blot, but may still have lyme. The doctor explained that some people's immune system is so poor, that they may not even present with anti-bodies to try and fight the lyme or co-infections. If that is true, is it possible that the same could be so with the impact of mold exposure not showing up on tests? Thanks, Sam From: nenarc <nenarc@...> Subject: [] antibody tests Date: Sunday, September 27, 2009, 3:43 PM Are the antibody tests for mold worth taking? Guest guest
so did I , spent hours on hours trying to sock into my head what they meant. I had IgE and IgG, and gee, my mind escapes me on the IgG right now but I'm glad I had them done. but really I think both go along way in proveing exposure, I think IgA is another one good to have., but I cant tell you what each mean without looking it up again. > > I specifically had IGG tests done which came back elevated to several antigens from mold. > > > God Bless !! > dragonflymcs > Mayleen > > ________________________________ > From: nenarc <nenarc@...> > > Sent: Sunday, September 27, 2009 11:43:54 AM > Subject: [] antibody tests > > > Are the antibody tests for mold worth taking? > > Would they show that mold is making you sick, and if they come up > negative would that mean it's not from mold? > > I'm hearing conflicting things about these tests. > > Thanks >
Guest guest
High IGG antibodies says on bottom of mine patient has been immunologically sensitized to these antigens. Means your body is trying to fight these which is why you have antibodies for them. They use all those tests as indicators I believe in their search for what is making you ill. I do not believe one alone says one thing. I could be wrong. Did you have an HP panel done ??
