Guest guest
Betania, Just thought I would put my 2 cents in. I was 58 when I started using a scooter and wheelchair. I now love them both and don't know what I would do without them Lyn Sacks From: Jackie Sachs <jackiesachs@...> Subject: Re: scooter use Date: Thursday, August 27, 2009, 5:08 PM I was 43 years old Jackie Re: scooter use Jackie, May I know how old were you when you started using the scooter? Guest guest
Yay Geri!! I'm still learning those lessons of loving myself. It's especially hard for those of us who did not have a lot of love from our families. When I go cruising in my wheelchair, I smile at people and they smile back. Love is contagious. Guest guest
You are so right Ruth........ there isn't any time in my life to be vain. At the same time I have to do what is best for ME! If I embarrasses people by being in a chair then that is their problem! Same goes for people that expect a disabled person to take off their shoes. I'll be dammed if I'll chance stumbling around, tripping and falling. If they are so worried about the floors Then their friendship is not worth it to me or my time Lets give ourselfs some dignity and respect, for a change.
