Guest guest
Ray: Thank you for your post about Six Flags allowing people with disabilities entering rides. I actually love roller coasters and cannot wait for the next time I go to Six Flags in New Jersey, America. Theme Park adventures With it being the summer season, I thought it would be nice to share positive experiences at Theme Parks with fellow members. My family and I took our 8 year old daughter to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. I bought the tickets online before we went, I had my parking placard handy and went with the thought I wonder how this day will be? When we arrived, they gave us good directions to handicapped parking ( We parked four spaces from the front edge of the lot), they had a shuttle to get us to the park, and they had electric scooters for rental at the guest relations. If you wanted to go on the rides, (I don't like roller coasters.)you ask at guest relations for a pass that allows you to go up the exit ramp and receive assistance with boarding. All in all, I would say it was a great day. Ray
Guest guest
Disneyland is great as far as handicapped treatment is concerned. Ok we did feel a bit guilty as we walked onto rides, in the exit. No waiting, ride all rides you want before lunch. California Adventure Park is not that way, lines are wide and a wheelchair or scooter will fit. Guest guest
My understanding is that Disney will rent scooters to anyone who asks, so you have to get there very early.
Guest guest
Yes Geoff, Disneyland is great for this, we have gone a few times and although I feel bad for those that have to wait in line I still remember at least they have the option to walk where I don't. It's nice to be able to see the entire park in a day instead of 2 or 3 which would be needed if we had to stand in all the lines. This is one of the places where it truely is an advantage to be in a wheelchair.
