" Just when we thought we had seen it all.

My medical director, Dobosiewicz, has asked me to query the list

regarding a recent W/C claim. This young lady was seen numerous times for a

rash on her hands. The rash was very real and was seen by both of us. She

blamed it on her employer who was “putting latex gloves in her latex free

glove box without telling her.†Although somewhat strange, we have both seen

stranger things in this practice when it comes to Comp cases.

Here is the part on which we would like some input. Her case was recently

approved by the Worker’s Compensation system. The approved diagnosis is “

Hypochondriasisâ€, and she is approved for 12 sessions of psychotherapy.

Work related? Anyone else ever had this one?
