Guest guest
my exposure messed up my ears bad, somedays i cant hardly stand it. is there any research on this connected to damp building exposure. I read that you can have some of these symptoms with allergies and re-exposure to high amounts of that antigen. but i dont get the other allergy symptoms with this. Guest guest
I think the effects on the ears are an autoimmune problem. We know that toxic mold causes immunological disorders. I have done some reading about autoimmune disease of the ears, so you should be able to find more information on the Internet. ________________________________ From: osisposis <jeaninem660@...> Sent: Sun, October 11, 2009 12:58:50 PM Subject: [] both ears, no allergy symptoms, but yes, mold exposure my exposure messed up my ears bad, somedays i cant hardly stand it. is there any research on this connected to damp building exposure. Guest guest
The only autoimmune thyroid disease I know about is Hashimoto's disease. From the Mayo Clinic website: " In Hashimoto's disease, also known as chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis, your immune system attacks your thyroid gland. " An interesting thing about Hashimoto's is that you can have a normal thyroid test, but doctors don't take the extra step to test for Hashimoto's. Most doctors just do normal thyroid tests, but they have to do an anti-thyroid antibodies test to be able to diagnose Hashimoto's. ________________________________ From: Meng <moldsick@...> Sent: Mon, October 12, 2009 7:46:53 AM Subject: Re: [] both ears, no allergy symptoms, but yes, mold exposure , Do you know anything about autoimmune issues with the thyroid? Guest guest
I'd be interested in this, also. And the link with prednisone to thyroid issues. Nothing makes the earth seem so spacious as to have friends at a distance; they make the latitudes and longitudes. Henry Thoreau >I think the effects on the ears are an autoimmune problem. Guest guest
Just like they see a negative RA Factor test and assume there is no RA, when the test can show negative. Guest guest
You can have a negative RA Factor test and still have RA, most Dr's (PC) are not aware of this. Guest guest
It sounded like you said the opposite. I am concerned about RA due to my foot joint but tested negative. How do I tell if I have it if I test negative? > > You can have a negative RA Factor test and still have RA, most Dr's (PC) are not aware of this. > > God Bless !! > dragonflymcs > Mayleen > ________________________________ > From: Barb W <barb1283@...> >> > Mayleen, could you explain..do you mean positive when you said negative one time? > > --- In , dragonflymcs <dragonflymcs@ ...> wrote: > > > > Just like they see a negative RA Factor test and assume there is no RA, when the test can show negative. >
Guest guest
I have the same problem. A rheumatologist should know what else to test for. I know the one I had in 2007, I only got to see him 2x before losing ins. he believed I did, but he had suffered mold exposure, if your joint is swollen now, like mine are then I believe x rays will do the job. Back then i only had pain, stiffness, he gave me GC.
