Guest guest
Overriding a doctor's advice is risky unless the doctor doesn't know your situtation and hasn't taken blood tests. My former P.A. still laughed when I mentioned " mold " , but he was very thorough and treated me in accordance with blood test results and other more conclusive tests. I've taken cipro frequently through the years with no ill effect. Find out what the reasoning is beyond the sulphur med for your bladder. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Its only target is your bladder infection and want rebound and go systemic. So stay away from cipro. KT> Hope that helps KT> k K
Guest guest
i will say that i had a uti a month ago and was very nervous with chronic candida and mold reactivity to take antibiotics, but i took cipro, and my symptoms only worsened a bit during and then 2 days after, then i was fine. i took strong probiotics 3x/day during and for two weeks after, then went down to a maintenance dose. I found out today that I not only have ecoli, but I have strep group D and the doctor wants me to either take cipro or Nitrofurandton Can someone tell me if these are mold friendly. I am nervous about taking them since I have gut inflammation from taking 3 different antiboitics in April and then hydrocortisone. Thanks Ann
Guest guest
Anne and a, Can someone help me with this subject? What's wrong with one antibiotic over another? Can't you just take probiotics to offset loss of beneficial bacteria, and don't you think that perhaps hydrocordizone may be the real troublemaker in the threesome below, since aren't they what is described as " throwing gas on a fire " by ... " someone " ...can't remember right now, Shoemaker I think. > > I found out today that I not only have ecoli, but I have strep group D and the doctor wants me to either take cipro or Nitrofurandton > > Can someone tell me if these are mold friendly. Guest guest
I really can't be more specific as I have only read it in posts here so have no link, something about corticoid steriods making you sicker if you have fungal infection or ill from mold exposure. I don't know how it affects bacterial infections. > > Can you be more specific about Dr. Shoemaker's quote?
Guest guest
I am taking dioxcycline and it is burning my stomach, but I can't take Cipro as I am so weak. I guess for right now it is the only one. I would like to know how to raise my ph levels though? --- In , Michal <michalvictoria@...> wrote: > > and i will say that although antibiotics make mold illness worse (tho with probiotics i've personallt\y mitigated the damage), having anything that is suppressing your immune system like an infection, can worsen mold illness too. Guest guest
My experience with cortico-steroids is that they make everything grow. Right now I have my second bacterial/parasite infection in my gut. This is the second time this has happened to me (and this time I was only using an inhaler that every doctor and pharmacist I questioned said that it stays in the lungs. Not true. So, if you have mold in your body the steroid can make it grow. I think that's what " adding fuel to the fire " means.
