Guest guest
Hi Ant Joan: I saw a message posted by at iThyroid, dated 2-1-02 - maybe he's just too busy to post much here. I started with this group in Sept. 1998, which I believe was about the time started this board. Best regards, Joyce
Guest guest
Hi All, I'm still here....but my To-Do list just keeps getting longer instead of shorter. I'm trying to write my book and keep up with my emails and posts here and on iThyroid. Meanwhile my business is taking a lot of time and energy as I try to grow it. I'm still playing a lot of basketball, along with bike riding, roller blading, and hiking. Then there is the maintenance on the ranch. Today I had to fix the well pump when our water quit. Today I was rewriting the story of my hyperthyroidism. Recalling those days was very distressing, but every time I remember that experience I feel so happy to be well. I have a long to-do list, but then I have a lot of energy to work on it. What else could anyone want? This group has been doing very well. I think that it provides a different purpose from the iThyroid bulletin board. It's still growing steadily and has about 216 members right now. I thank all the members who contribute--especially those who are feeling well, but who stay to help others along. IThyroid is doing well also, with more and more people coming. The web publishing is driving me crazy because everytime I publish, some things get broken, but otherwise it's great. Hopefully this week I'll have the time to fix some of those problems. So thanks to everyone, we keep making progress! Guest guest
Dear , Thanks for the response, and for all the hard work you have put into this! I remember your first outreach in the magazine--and, a few years later, think of all the people you have saved from mis-treatment by the allopathic medical community! Stay well, AntJoan
Guest guest
Thanks ! The knowledge I have gained from your iThyroid site has been invaluable. I'm sure there are many others out there who would say the same, so keep up the good work! It is very much appreciated. >From: bu007@... >Reply-hyperthyroidism >hyperthyroidism >Subject: Re: Where's ? >Date: Mon, 11 Feb 2002 01:00:54 EST > >Hi All, > I'm still here....but my To-Do list just keeps getting longer instead >of >shorter. I'm thinking that if 's computer crashes there may not be many others she can use to access this list. Does she have a phone? Guest guest
Another list I'm on, we have gotten to be so close over the years, and such good friends, that we do have access to each other's information. We discussed what to do in case something happens to us, how would we let the list know? We each told people close to us, (spouse, grown kids, etc) to contact the list if something happens to us. And, we have a 'contact person', who keeps all of our phone numbers. A beloved member of that list passed away suddenly a couple months ago. Her teenage son wrote and told us. His mom had told him to do it, if anything happened to her. You get so you know and care for your list members, and it's not just cyberspace anymore. Let's see.... now that he can't drive for 6 months, I don't see it getting prettier for awhile. His sister can/should help him with the grocery part of it, etc on the weekends; however, the going to school thing is on me and my mother so they don't have to ride two city busses to get there. Guest guest
> Let's see.... now that he can't drive for 6 months, It's a full year here in NJ after a seizure, no matter what the cause. One of my neighbors had a seizure a few months ago caused by an allergic reaction to a new med her doctor put her on. The ER doc notified the state of the seizure and her doc had to sign a slew of papers swearing that it wasn't a seizure caused by a seizure disorder, just a medication reaction. The state still won't let her have her license back. So she's driving without it. The woman is in her 70's, and she said if she ever gets stopped she'll just say she forgot to bring it with her. Since everyone knows everyone in this town, and she's related to a few members of the police force, she knows she won't get ticketed for driving without a license. the going to school thing is > on me and my mother so they don't have to ride two city busses to get there. Just what you needed - something *else* to do in the mornings before work. Maybe instead of 5am you'll soon be getting up at 4 just to have time to do everything. Guest guest
Hello everyone, I have been gone for awhile. I'm still working through the breast cancer...God willing...it is gone. I haven't see 's post, and was wondering if she is still with the group. She is such an inspiration to me, and others. I hope we all have a fantastic 2010! Guest guest
Hi Kay, I'm still here! I haven't posted much lately, because I have no experience with many of the topics, i.e. AFOs, canes, foot drop, etc. I just read what others write about it, so I can learn. I did see your post awhile back about getting hot/cold. I thought about it and did a little research, but couldn't come up with an explanation other than hormonal and you had said that had already been ruled out, so I didn't have any ideas to post. Did you or your doctors get that figured out? I hope so. I'm so glad you are doing better and hope that the cancer is completely gone. That would be wonderful! I too wish you and all in the group a fantastic 2010!
