Hi Lori,

Yes, shoes with a wider toe box are good for CMT feet. They don't necessarily

need to be shoes for diabetics. Three of my favorite pairs of shoes are New

Balance, they have wide toe boxes, good motion control and lateral support and

also come in extra wide widths. Model #854 are the ones I like the most (cross

trainers). Nike,also has one with a wider toe box that was produced mainly for

American Indians.

Lori,

I have good luck with PW Minor shoes or Alden, the orthopedic ones. Both are

made to accommodate AFOs or orthotics. They have wider toe boxes and would work

for people who need that too.
