Hi All,

I hope every-one had a wonderful Thanksgiving!I

Have a question for you, I have developed a tightness in the chest and a

cough the last month or so and as my husband and 13yr old daughter have

asthma from their exposure , am wondering if I have also developed it and

whether that is possible after being mold free since April 08??

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Same thing in our case .. my daughter left Africa (where we suspect she was

exposed to mould) a year and a half ago. Never had a problem with her until

about 3-4 months ago. Since then her coughing doesn't seem to stop, she got

pneumonia out of the blue and her pediatrition put her on asthma meds a month

ago.

I would also very much like to hear from those of you with more experience ....

is it possible after all this time?

,

Aside from any possible lingering effects of the mold exposure; one thing to

check might be what the side-effects are for any of the heart medications you

are on. I was on toprol after heart surgery and a few months later developed

asthmatic symptoms, which I later found out was a side-effect of the drug. After

weaining off the drug, the symptoms went away.

Have you had an ekg, just to rule out any heart issues?

Have you ever had an rbc blood test to measure your mineral levels? I know

someone else had asked if you take magnesium? It is good for both the heart and

can also be good in opening up the bronchial passages.

God bless,

Sam

Hi,

You may have developed Reactive Airway Disease.  Have you had tests done to see

if mold was inhaled and possibly in your lungs.  You can have a sudden onset or

an exposure you did not realize that may have triggered an onset of any number

of things. I have a very good paper on RADS if you are interested.  Send back

for the docs.

God Bless !!
