Guest guest
Thanks to so many of you for responding and trying to help my good friend with her mysterious ailment. By the way, someone asked this - we live in Boulder, CO. Anyway, she wrote the following and then added later that now she's realizing she could be dealing with reflux as a side effect of candida (which someone mentioned, thank you). Lara wrote: In addition to all the dental stuff, i've worked extensively with two different naturopaths, 2 acupuncturists and seen 2 different ENTs (one who said to give him a ring if i wanted my tonsils out without doing anything to diagnose tonsilitis)... the second ENT was much smarter and did a culture which came back negative for bacteria (although i wonder if all the natural meds i'm on could mask that???) Also we tested my thryoid which is fine. Oh and months ago i had a complete blood panel done and everything was " normal " ... there was no indication that my body is fighting an infection. That second ENT now wants to try reflux meds which I'm tentative to do because I don't understand how antibiotics would make reflux go away and then come back??? Also, i had my pee tested and had 1.4 ppb aflotoxin present and .245 tricothecene (Again I wonder if being on olive leaf for so long may have lowered those numbers???)... and also that we had the house tested and although i know it's not super reliable, Bob the mold guy seemed to think the levels were okay especially since they were higher outside than inside. BUT i went to see Dr. Pingree today (the 3rd ENT) and he thought some of the levels were a little high. He put me on diflucan and some nasal sprays the idea being that if i feel better within 3 to 4 days it indicates a fungal/mold problem. Anyhow... if you feel like forwarding this on go for it... ??? I'm so confused at this point... oh and I've bought about 290 toothbrushes in the past year... seriously... i change them at least every other day... Guest guest
HI, go to this link and find a dietary treatment for acid reflux that your friend could try, this is my family doctor's website, he is a smart guy who thinks outside the box. <http://fourfoldhealing.com/2007/11/08/gerd-gastro-esophageal-reflux-disease/> sue v >Thanks to so many of you for responding and trying to help my good friend >with her mysterious ailment. Guest guest
Jill, your friends acid reflux would go away w antibiotic if it is H Pylori, and it might come back also. I have a friend w a serious problem w pylori, and he says it is in everyone, can overrun-be killed off, and come back. > In addition to all the dental stuff, i've worked extensively with two > different naturopaths, 2 acupuncturists and seen 2 different ENTs (one who said > to give him a ring if i wanted my tonsils out without doing anything to > diagnose tonsilitis)... the second ENT was much smarter and did a culture > which came back negative for bacteria (although i wonder if all the natural > meds i'm on could mask that???)
