While fashion and CMT is a legitimate issue, among women especially, is is

revalent esppecially where adaptive clothing is required. And yes, there are

people, both women and men, with CMT who need a different clothing than

'ordinary retail'. I have read thousands of posts through the years about people

with CMT needing to cover their AFOs because they didn't want them to show. I

have also met women who need adaptive clothing. And how many posts have their

been on shoes, styles, attractive ones, etc?

However, going back to the origins of this network of ours, is for sharing

resources, practical soulutions and cutting edge research news. In addition

questions are answered, and disability issues are explored. Go back to our main

page for the entire encapsulation.

If we all stick to " I feel " instead of " I think " flames, judgements and

misunderstandings will not occur.

We are * not here * to agree or disagree with each other.

Please remember members live in 33 countries. Lifestyles and culture vary

among countries as they do within the USA. What is attractive in the streets of

Milan, for example, would be ostentasius for the beaches of Venice, California.

What clothing people wear in Denver, is totally different that what is worn in

Florida. What is worn for business is also different among countries and the

USA. Someone from NYC would be out of place with the 'business causual' of

Malibu. I could go on, but you get the idea.

Please, I ask you *again* stick to your " feelings " when sharing, and most

importanting keep your posts as upbeat and positive as possible.

I often let some posts slide, and as the discussions slide, I watch them for

offenses and I hate to close topics.

However, as of this post, the fashion issue is closed, unless you need adaptive

clothing that is fashionable, then start a new post on that subject. If anyone

feels they can do better than myself as Moderator, I suggest starting your own

group, or ask me for a job. If you wish to discuss fashion with others, please

discuss it off list with like-minded friends. There are fashion groups to join

also.

Enough said.
