Guest guest
I can only guess that is embarassed to ask as she has posted on facebook that she is in need of the following and here is the facebook page that has it on there, So since its public I don't think she will mind what she has posted on facebook. Maybe she can get someone on here to help. 's home to heal, with safe air, safe food, safe water & safe clothes to Dianne: " I think I have about a week to find a house and property out of town that could be made safe enough for me for healing by the time I have to be out of here. Otherwise the folks in the city will be pursuing what amounts to something like a concrete bunker and palliative care, as I won't be able to get ...outside and will require ongoing assistance with shopping and everything else. So if people could pull out all the stops trying to locate a place within the guidelines and boundaries that were mentioned, to find the safest area with access to organic foods and a house that is workable... And now that it's hitting the freezing mark outside, this house is just not warm enough, even wearing everything I own that is safe enough to wear. The shivering creates more stress, using up more energy, and I don't have reserves to draw from. All I need is a lot of help : ) " December 5 at 6:43pm · 's Financial Plan for a House Friday, November 27, 2009 at 10:42pm to Dianne: As for the house, the deal is from the current landlord, but it has been on very shaky ground. They made the promise in one of the newspaper articles, but there have been huge obstacles turning it to reality, since houses that are for sale (or rent) are so toxic that only someone experienced with severe MCS builds would be qualified to assess and make changes to anyplace so that it could be remotely safe enough for me to live in. The budget for the " new " house, inclusive of land, closing costs and any required renovations, is $200,000.00. They will then rent it to me for $500 mo. including utilities. Until last week, we were unable to find an experienced and qualified expert to oversee any and all changes that would need to be done to a place to make it safe enough for me to live, not just die, with the conditions that the landlord's offer had. As of last week, the expert is now on board, willing to work without making a profit, (he still needs to be paid - I don't have the right words to explain) but the budget is very tight and finding a house that isn't completely toxic to work with, in an area that would allow me to go outside, has been next to impossible. " ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ to Dianne in another email: " Re: the money for the house. The landlord is going to spend that money. They are going to maintain ownership of the house and rent it to me. Not ideal, as I also owe them /will owe them $25,000 because of the situation they set up here. But it is what I have to work with now. Maybe one day someone friendlier will offer to buy it from them and rent it to me at that subsidized rent. There isn't time to fundraise in order to build a new house by the time I have to leave here in April. Building new and custom to my MCS/EHS would have been the preferable way, but we've run out of time and a reno is what we have barely enough time for. But we need to find the place very soon. We need people searching, so Kathi can stop doing that to co-ordinate all the other things I need help with. She can't do both/all. So the urgent financial donations right now are for glass bottled drinking water until a time when the water filter is installed and working for me ($179 for 18 bottles if purchased in advance 2 x a month until I can use the tap water), the water filtration and installation (and any fixes that might be needed with the abominable plumbing in this house), $???, the washing machine - $750+ taxes etc and someone to clean the machine to make it safe for me, and the clothing (which I haven't calculated). An MCS/EHS safe computer keyboard and mouse would also be appreciated as these are on their last legs. I think $5000 would cover all that aplenty. ??? Possibly also a few things to make this house safer for me to be in, but I would need my expert to make recommendations on that, what can be done to make a difference and how much it would cost. " Written about 2 weeks ago Thursday, November 26, 2009 at 7:33pm From to Dianne: Dianne, I need a safe home where I can heal, with safe air, safe food, safe water and safe clothes. And I'll need help getting my food etc for at least 3 months after I move. Kathi can keep you updated on what we are looking for. I'm including the home's details and search parameters below, and if you can share that with your facebook friends, so that everyone can help look, that would be great. Maybe someone knows of a place that would be suitable that can be made safe enough. We have about a couple of weeks to find something that the likes of which has not been seen in 3 years on MLS. We finally have confirmation that the building expert I need will help make a place as safe as possible under the budget constraints we have, but finding a place is beyond me, and the people who have been looking. There has only been one place since the end of 2006 that could have worked and that disappeared before I could get up to see it. Now I can't even go anywhere safely - I have no safe warm clothes to wear, which means if I go, I will be quite sick by the time I get there and recovery will be very difficult. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Hospitalization is not an option, it would kill me. I can't even visit a DR anymore. There are no safe enough offices, and since I cannot afford the IV's of supplements that could help, or the naturopathic health services testing, health care is not accessible at all. My options are few and far between and I barely have the energy left to survive never mind fight to try to get help. I'm pretty well spent. This has gone on too long and the mould here is destroying any positive energy I would otherwise be able to muster. Mould is really bad for the brain. And all the dead leaves areound the house are just making it worse. I am completely dependent on others right now for everything outside the home. I have to cook from scratch and clean for myself and look after my cats, and spend some time on the computer. That is it. I have trouble washing dishes and having showers and require recovery time from each of those so I'll do one one day, the other the other day, and hopefully cook on the 3rd day. I don't have clean clothing to wear after a shower. My bedding and towels do not get washed. When it gets colder I won't be able to take my garbage, recycling or green bin to the curb anymore, as I have only these summer clothes on my back, and my coat is too contaminated to put over these since I cannot wash these. The one pair of safe socks I have is getting holes in them and will wear thru soon. There is no place else to go for me - everyone uses too many chemicals, even the HFS so called natural products are full of chemicals and contamination. Other MCSers either don't have space or are affected differently and can't share. My only hope is if enough people care enough to help with everything I need now, so that I can live long enough to move from here, and to find a place that can be made safe enough in the budget and to get me moved there. But, people seem to think that my needs are excessive, and optional or luxury items, that since they cannot afford to have these things, that I shouldn't have them, despite requiring them medically in order to survive. So between that and the mould, I just don't have a lot of energy or hope left in me. I just do not know enough people who want to or who can contribute enough to get me on the road to recovery. And if I have to keep writing and begging strangers for help, I don't have the energy left to even sweep the floors here. I just can't do it anymore. I get no pleasure from asking people to do these things for me that they wouldn't even do for themselves. GOOD HOMES LIST 1. bungalow (preferred) with unfinished or slab basement (slab is best) 2. no air fresheners, scented candles, indoor smoking or in house pesticide applications 3. no plastic/vinyl siding OR recent renovations 4. acerage with sunny food garden potential, 5. away from nearby houses, rail, hydro lines, cell towers, agricultural or golf course pesticides and fertilizers, and other air pollution 6. vacant /unoccupied, unless they have MCS and or use only natural fragrance-free products and materials 7. electric heat preferred ... no in-floor heat... electric/wood can be upgraded to just electric, and forced air can be changed over to electric (if necessary for a good house) 8. room to use as vented appliance room (i.e. laundry room near kitchen) 9. with unpaved driveway and garage 10. within one hour of a year-round source of organic food and produce not in a supermarket 11. the house should probably be at least 15 years old (for the formaldehyde to have offgassed enough) and have no mould/mildew/damp issues. Any carpet, laminate flooring, plastic tubs and surrounds would have to be removed and replaced so the purchase budget would drop and reno budget rise accordingly. The TOTAL budget is $200,000 which includes closing costs and renovation, so unless the house is built solid and chemical free - owned by an MCSer or people who cleaned with baking soda and borax and didn't use pesticides etc, the purchase price will need to be up to $50,000 under to allow for some major changes. The wish list is for a modest 3 bdrm brick bungalow with a garage and a barn and a bunkie and a gazebo in a fair sized clearing surrounded by acres of wooded and not built up land with a couple of fenced in veggie gardens already in place. I need the barn for the goat and chickens who will keep my lawn maintained. I think my main thing is I need space away from people and pollution. With some good sunny space for some veggie gardens. I need a fair amount of " privacy " from pollution. I also need a decent working kitchen, where I have room to learn canning and dehydrating etc, and a way to create a vented appliance room beside the kitchen, maybe 2 vented appliance rooms so food and laundry don't mix. outbuildings - garage and a vented storage that isn't in the garage - maybe that's the 3rd bedroom?, and a visitors bunkie would be good. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The search area is this: While avoiding local industry, agriculture, rail and power transmission lines, cell towers, as well as major touristy beaches, golf courses, etc, but having organic food accessible, not from a supermarket or highly fragranced health food store: SOUTHERN BOUNDARY Hwy 7 to the south Hwy 12 up and over Lake Simcoe from 7 EASTERN BOUNDARY Hwy 41 to the east NORTHERN BOUNDARY Hwy 60 at the north (between 11 in the west and 41 in the east) (It doesn't look like there's any hwy from 124 east of 11 through the Kearney area between 11 and 60, which would take you along the SW area of Algonquin Park.) north to Sundrige/South River and hwy 124 (which is south of North Bay) WESTERN BOUNDARY west and over to Parry Sound along 124 (provided there is a year round source of SAFE fragrance chemical free organic food within an hour) south along 400/69 back to Hwy 12 /Lake Simcoe Between Madoc and Perth around hwy 7 is Sharbot Lake where they are planning (and fighting) uranium mining. Chalk River /Pembroke to the north of there also have uranium issues. Those places are out. Is there an easier way to write this boundary description and the basic house list, so it can be sent far and wide? * The health and ability for those with environmental sensitivities rests with the choices and actions of others * http://www.chrc-ccdp.ca/research_program_recherche/esensitivities_hypersensibili\ tee/page1-en.asp#es Help us please find a safe home for Thursday, November 26, 2009 at 10:03am From to Dianne: I need chemical free clothes (very expensive) and a way to wash them, a heavy duty, all metal, portable washing machine, as I cannot use the basement laundry room here anymore due to the mould. I cannot use the tap water and the glass bottled spring water is expensive and heavy. Rawganique Clothing http://www.rawganique.com/ Rawganique has listed a number of articles as being chemical free. Chemical free clothing has the most chance of success. Most organic cotton clothing either includes the seed or is still processed with chemicals and I’ve not been able to detox most of those things. Others say free of “harsh†chemicals. I suspect that I will have trouble with those. RG841 Unisex Certified Organic Cotton Flannel Pajamas $99.00 Please scroll down for detailed sizing information. December 5 at 6:43pm · 's Financial Plan for a House Friday, November 27, 2009 at 10:42pm to Dianne: As for the house, the deal is from the current landlord, but it has been on very shaky ground. Our organic bath robes are also free from all chemicals at all stages of production: cultivation, processing, and manufacturing (all too often, factories producing organic products regrettably use formaldehyde and other highly toxic chemicals to wrinkle-proof organic cotton fabrics, thereby defeating the purpose of organic certification in the first place — our organic products are triple-certified, meaning that they are made from organically grown, processed, and manufactured cotton). Our organic bathrobes are made in Europe under fair labor conditions (no sweat shop, slave or bonded labor, or underwaged-child labor involved at any stage of production).
