Because I/we(me and dog) haven't been able to get out much recently, Ibrought a

home-made agility tunnel into the house last night to have some fun with. I left

it in the living room overnight. When we got up this AM, I went and slept on the

couch. Or tried to. Though I did sleep, I kept waking partially because I wasn't

breathing, or couldn't breathe. When I caught my breath, I would sleep

again--until I cvouldn't breathe. I was on the couch for about 2 hours, and

think I " slept " most of the time. I don't know how many times I " woke up " to

remember--or make myself--inhale.

I have never had any trouble sleeping on the couch ever before. The only thing

new was the tunnel. It's now in the garage again.

I don't know what the materials are--some kind of plastic or vinyl. It is made

of 3 of the yellow collapsable leaf bags sold in hardware stores 4-5 years ago,

so has had plenty of time to outgas, but obviously is still toxic enough to keep

me from breathing.

In fact it was returning to work after being home for an extended time

>due to recovery from surgery which helped me realize the house was

>bothering me. I went in to work to ask for more time off since I still

>wasn't feeling well. While waiting to talk to someone I was sitting

>there thinking I didn't feel sick while sitting there. That's when I

>wondered could it be something at home? Wasn't a member here. Never

>heard of sick building syndrome.
