Hi Ann,

I took something back in May, and I think in August, too for both sinus

infections and UTI's. However, we did not test for specific organisms. I did

have stomach trouble with the antibiotics, but I have to qualify that with the

following:

1. I am HLA mold-susceptible.

2. I was still in a moldy environment without yet realizing it.

3. I was still eating wheat, which I have targeted as causing stomach pain and

diarrhea.

If I take something again soon for yet more sinus probs and UTI, I may not have

so many episodes of a really torn up stomach.

My stomach has been so messed up at times that I have had to take a full dose of

immodium twice a day, EVEN while taking cholestyramine, to have normal BM's.

I was given cipro for a UTI and it gave me wild heart palpitations.

The doc laughed at me and told me it was a completely safe drug.

It is in the floroquinolone family. I took Levaquin for the same reason and it

worked the first time. The second time I developed whole body tendonitis and

serious Achilles tendon pain.

It killed the UTI, which was serious. It is seven months since the incident and

I have had numerous diagnostic tests which are more nebulous than mold testing

if that is possible.

Look up Cipro victims and Levaquin victims. Levaquin has a black box warning

since July of 2008.

Do your homework beforehand, afterwards it too late. Good luck.

fyi I now drink cranberry juice everyday to try to avoid a new one..
