This seminar provides useful information on finding unadvertised positions, writing resumes, preparing for interviews & best present oneself to any perspective employer from the unique perspective of a department head who has many years of hiring and interviewing people. The presenter will discuss how and why healthcare providers are starting new programs and services despite a tighter economy. Seminar participants will get knowledge of where work opportunities exist where creative arts therapists can fill and thrive. This seminar will also provide unique information and strategies on obtaining a creative arts therapist position from an experie nced working creative arts therapist and hospital administrator. Topics covered include strategies to go about finding positions at facilities that don’t advertise, how to best write your resume, how to best present oneself during a job interview, how to negotiate the best possible terms with a pote ntial employer. The seminar will help those who are looking for a creative arts therapy job regardless whether one is starting a career or an experienced therapist seeking a job change. He has interviewed and hired most of his current LCAT staff. A creative arts therapist with over twenty-seven years of experience, has develop contacts with various other healthcare facilities and has an ongoing interest in tracking treads within the healthcare field. He also has several years working on a contractual basis and gone to many interviews/job changes himself.
