Guest guest
Hi, was just reviewing some of the past posts and noticed the comments and websites listed for Dr. Close. I dable in essential oils just a bit and while they can be healthy for some people and some are fungicides they should " not " cost 50.00 for a 5ml. bottle. If you want to try thieves oil blend it can easily be blended by purchasing the oils individually for 3.00 - 4.00 per bottle (and there isn't that many blends needed to make thieves blends)...actually I just checked on it because I remember ordering a bottle of it a while back. I think I paid maybe 10.00 or 15.00 dollars for it at the most.( for 5 ml) You may be able to get it on ebay cheaper than that. Then just a simple disfuser which holds a tea light candle and put 10 drops of oil in the disfuser and 20 drops of soya oil amd light you tea light candle. If your thieves blend is already diluted when you purchased it then you don't have to add a dilutant. A lot of times I will just fill the top of my disfuser with water and add about 10-12 drops of the essential oil I'm using. Anyway just offering an inexpensive way of using the essentials oils for those intrested. They do help but might have to agree with after seeing those prices. Anyone without knowledge of essential oils could be easily be ripped off. Oh...and a big congrats! to on her win. I am sooo happy for you! leslie
Guest guest
Point of clarification if you are looking at the listing on the website then I would like to state that it is a 15ml bottle " not " a 5ml bottle. Beyond that I won't get into specifics as this is not the place to do that. Also based on what we know of essential oils, which again I will defer to 's knowledge on this, using a flame under the essentail oils to areosolize the essential oil would be detrimental the the constituents that make up the Thieves oil and for that matter any essential oil there by defeating the purpose of getting a therapeutic grade essential oil. However you may very well be able to find the oil on ebay for cheaper. I actually saw numerous posts for the oils at a cheaper rate. However if you do decide to get this oil, and potentially use it for prevention or remediation of mold then make sure you use a cold air diffuser with it; with a 4.5 watt pump and nebulizer (glass fitting that atomizes the oils for diffusion). There are less expensive diffusers and oils but make sure of the quality of the essential oil as this would be key and can be the difference between fragrance and essential oil. They could also include synthetic which would be very hard on people with chemical sensitivities as well. I can't stress enough how critical the quality of the essential oil is the the effectiveness as a preventative and to the use with people with sensitivities.
