Guest guest
Wow, Geoff, How wonderful. It took me about 5 years to accomplish the healthy attitude that you acquired in one night. Way to go. Lynna
Guest guest
I know exactly how you felt. I too love live music and went to a live music venue to see a band. They had taken out all of the stools and chairs, but the bartender ended up giving me a bar stool that was behind the bar and I was a happy, happy person the rest of the night until...........SOMEONE HAD STOLEN MY CANE WHILE I WAS SITTING! Can you believe that. Thankfully, the bouncer came over and helped me get through the crowd without my cane. It never did appear so I had to go out and buy another one! Another time I went to a place that is usually very crowded and I was not real happy about fighting a crowd. The bouncer saw me standing in line waiting to pay and pulled me out of line to the front. He then informed someone that was to be let in before everyone else and to find a stool for me and place it anywhere wanted. I was fabbergasted, as my experiences had not been so positive. I gave the bouncer a big hug and he was just as surprised. I told him no one ever went out of their way like that and I was so appreciative. He couldn't believe that I was making such a big deal over something he saw as minor. I believe when you have this type of disability, you tend to see people as either " black " or " white " , no more gray. They are either incredibly kind or incredibly rude!
