Guest guest
I have just been having a horrible time with the high school staff. hates the school but then again she hates everything. I could easily put her on independent study and let her attend art classes at the school or at the college. Adam likes school for the most part but the new campus is large. They used a prison architect. It has stairs that the kids can't walk up. They can have security take them up in the elevator but they are not dependable and I am sure it will be a hassle. The giant campus is another issue. They won't allow Adam to use the closest gate. Adam said he would rather go to a smaller school just to avoid the current school hassles with administration. They have really put us through some bad stuff. I actually kinda hate them right now. I just don't know what to do. I feel like I should fight for what is right and open doors for other children I hate to let the bad guys win. I did win the last battle but it was long and hard. Adam can't do independent study because he has dyslexia and needs a support team. They only offer IS to regular ED kids. Pros and Cons are: Con: Smaller school is in a bad area a bit further away from my house. Con: Smaller school was taken over by the state for having such bad test scores. Con: The smaller school starts at 7:30 am. Freezing mornings with CMT can be tough. Pro : Smaller school offers new start and less psychical hassle. Con: Smaller school doesn't have the guitar elective that Adam loves. Pro: The smaller school may have better teachers now that the programs have been released from the state. Or I could have a teacher come to my house and do a medical leave of school. He could have a private education but socially I don't know how he will do?
