Guest guest
Has anyone on this list used or heard of Monavie? A co-worker is trying to get me to try this berry drink. He claims that it will make my Fibro much better. He has already convinced a night shift worker at my hospital to try it and supposedly she is saying that her pain and fatigue are gone. I am always afraid of multi level marketing stuff and this juice is super expensive. If anyone on this list has any experience with this product please let me know. -jo

Guest guest
I looked it up on the web for you: Many skeptics view the company as another 'glorified pyramid scheme', involving a $39 distributor fee and monthly order of at least 4 bottles of juice (approximately $130 before shipping and taxes) to qualify for commissions. However, MonaVie is not considered such under United States Federal Trade Commission laws, but is a legal form of business referred to as network or multi-level marketing. Although amounts are not disclosed, açaí is listed as the leading ingredient on the nutrition facts label. Despite this claim that açaí is a feature of MonaVie's juice blend, the company states that the 18 other fruits were selected for their unique beneficial properties (e.g. camu camu has a high vitamin C content) and that focus on one fruit above others was avoided.[3] MonaVie's acai-based juices are marketed as a food, which restricts what health claims can legally be made. Foods sold in the United States are subject to FDA regulations of the wording of advertising and on packaging. [4] On May 16, 2008, MonaVie was sued by Imagenetix, Inc. for $2.75 billion over trademark infringement concerning the ingredient Celadrin.[5] The lawsuit was dropped on May 20, 2008. [6] MonaVie also faces a lawsuit by Quixtar North America, an Amway sister company, filed as a counter suit against Monavie in March 2008.[5] > > Has anyone on this list used or heard of Monavie? Guest guest
Hello Jo Well I have tried Mona Vie and it has helped me. It gave me energy and took away some pain. It is expensive but it might be worth it the biggest thing is it alkalizes you. So if you eat plenty of fruits and vegetables you will get alkalized from it. If you don¹t eat enough fruits and veggies then I would recommend it. It helps with inflammation pain because it alkalizes you. I have many friends on it here in Florida and they all like it too. I do not sell it I am not on a downline so I am speaking from my heart not my checkbook ok? Good luck. It might be worth a try for just month only, see if it helps you. If it does then invest more time and money. In one month you will know something and feel something because 30 days is enough for any natural product to work. I would suggest eating fruit and veggies anyhow because it does alkalize you and most FM¹ers have too much acid in their system. God Bless. rosemarie On 8/9/08 2:10 AM, " Anne Hillebrand at FibroFix.com " wrote: > > > > Save your money, honey. > > acia or Monavie > > Has anyone on this list used or heard of Monavie? Guest guest
Thanks for the input. It is nice to hear from people who have actually used the product. I am thinking that I will try a bottle.....have found it on ebay for much cheaper than the distributers sell it for so I may go that route. I refuse to pay full price. -jo Rosemarie Tropf wrote: > > Hello Jo > > Well I have tried Mona Vie and it has helped me. It gave me energy and > took > away some pain. Guest guest
Have you checked your saliva pH? Easy and cheap to test - you do it yourself. You can get the test strip paper on Ebay, too. Or from some local health food / vitamin places. Most important thing you can learn about your FMS. Annie www.FibroFix.com acia or Monavie > > > > Has anyone on this list used or heard of Monavie? Guest guest
No, I have not tested my PH as I have not been able to find the test strips (checked Wallmart and local Pharmacies). I am pretty sure I am acidic as I have pretty bad acid reflux and I feel worse when I overdose on tomato products. I live on Tums and try to stay away from acid foods. I have read your web information and believe you are on the right track. The only thing I have not tried is Paxil or another anti depressant as I don't have trouble sleeping and I am trying to stay away from drugs as long as possible. I know that eventually I will have to take prescription meds but at this time I am avoiding them. I have lived with Fibro most of my life (along with my mom and aunt). We are pretty sure that their Dad (my grandfather)also had Fibro as he had " Rheumatism " that kept him bedridden for periods starting in his 40's. I was diagnosed by a physician with Fibrocytis in 1992 when I had a very sudden onset of extreme pain (thought it was Lymes disease) that lasted about 2 months. After many tests my doc concluded I had what he called Fibrocytis (he picked up on my trigger points). Now, at age 45, with two young children (ages 4 and 7) I cope the best I can by forcing myself to push through the pain and fatigue and trying to eat healthy and stay active. I refuse to let this disease do to me what it has done to my mom and aunt. I may try the MonAvie just to see if it makes me feel any less painful.......I am not really good about eating enough fruits and veggies although I do take daily vitamins. -jo Anne Hillebrand at FibroFix.com wrote: > > Have you checked your saliva pH? > > Easy and cheap to test - you do it yourself. > You can get the test strip paper on Ebay, too. Guest guest
Have you tried the expectorant and decongestant along with that? Guest guest
I have used the expectorant but not regularly. I don't like to take decongestants because they make me nervous and I cannot sleep......I also get grumpy when taking them. I am planning on stocking up on the expectorants and trying to take them along with the antacids. -jo Anne Hillebrand at FibroFix.com wrote: > > Have you tried the expectorant and decongestant along with that? > > Annie > > acia or Monavie > > > > > > > > Has anyone on this list used or heard of Monavie? Guest guest
The best decongestant we have found for FMS is Phenylephrine. You can even get it at Dollar General Store as " Decongestant " 18 tablets for $1. 10 mg each tablet. Last time we checked. It's the combination that makes this treatment method work. I hope if you try it that you will read and see how to adjust it. Pseudophedrine doesn't work for us, and does cause nervousness, etc. acia or Monavie > > > > > > > > Has anyone on this list used or heard of Monavie?
