Guest guest
That's because MSG = Monosodium Glutamate = Glutamic ACID. (I've been telling this for almost 7 years. Sure had a lot of rocks thrown at us, but the truth always prevails.) You're most likely part of the 80% of who are Overly Acidic Fibros, too. Wait until you cut out Tomatoes in any form, Soft Drinks and the acidic fruits. Easy enough to tell - a simple cheap Saliva pH test you do yourself in just seconds. Confidential. Newbie here. Hi all I am a newbie here and still kinda in denial about this disease they have diagnosed me with. I have been through the ringer with the doctors like most of you have I am sure. I have made a small discovery with my health on my own that may be beneficial to some of you others. My doctor suggested that I cut out Aspertame(sp) and Monosodium Glutimate (MSG) from my diet to see if that could help. I have now been aspartame and MSG free (takes A LOT of label reading) for about 4 months now and I have not had any of the dibilitating headaches I was having and the muscle spasms have gotten better. Hope to find some useful info and support in this group. Thanks. TB
Guest guest
Howdy gang.. hope all are doing well today. I am the newbie here and wanted to introduce myself. I've had Fibro for 9 years now and I think as I get older it gets worse. I too suffer from massive headaches as Ive read from some of you all. My most tender points at the moment are my neck and shoulders. My collar bones hurt very bad. Feels like they've been broken and trying to meet in the middle of my chest. Also hurts when I move my arms - near my shoulders. Almost as if I have rubberbands around them and someone is trying to pull them up over my head. Cant win for loosing some days. Ive read that alot of you also suffer with extremely touchy spots on the skin. I feel as if Ive been hit by a truck along with a porkupine. I take mild muscle relaxers thru out the day to keep my muscles from constant spasms. Ive also had shots in the back of my neck, where my head and neck connect. Thats where my headache's start and then move across the top of my head. The shots are cortizone and... who knows what! but it does seem to help. Or did anyway. They headaches are more cluster now and more often. Not sure if any other women have more pain and problems with menstral cycles but with me thats when I hurt worse and ALWAYS get headaches durring that time. I have meds that help me relax and sleep at night but the day time is total misery some days. I have another doc appt next week and hopefully we can come up with some different meds to help me more. Always open to suggestions and idea's from those that experience exactly what I do. Feel free to contact me via email or IM chat. tamlyno@... I have yahoo and myspace chat. tamlyno is the ID to use. Thanks for reading this and hope to talk more with you all. have a great day. TAM
