It's not too funny what they are STILL doing over the mold issue. I

received a copy of the August 2009 National Apartment Association Political

Action Committee (NAA PAC) - their amicus brief that was submitted on behalf of

the apartment owner in which there were two new born infant deaths in a

moldy apartment complex. NAA PAC is made up of large apartment complex owners

across the US.

Their brief says

Page 9:

" In a report entitled, A Scientific View of the Health Effects of Mold, a

panel of scientists, including toxicologists and industrial hygienists

stated that years of intense study have failed to produce any causal connection

between exposure to indoor mold and adverse health effects. U.S. Chamber of

Commerce, A Scientific View of the Health Effects of Mold (2003) at p. 64

and p. 65 "

FALSE!!!!!! the MI''s paper that the Chamber promotes was just penned by

an old tobacco scientist and co-owner of GlobalTox (now known as VeriTox)

Besides being garbage, the paper cites false authorship of a physician.

But the physician says he had nothing to do with it.

There is a $25M insurance policy from Traveler's in this case.

There are two new born infant deaths.

The defense has spent over $4M fighting this case

Kelman, the author of the MI/Chamber paper is an expert witness in the case

Kelman does not list the MI/Chanber paper on his CV

the Chamber paper was PAID FOR SPECIFICALLY TO BE written for judges.

I read about this. These guys deserve to go under and it's looking like

they may. They are becoming irrelevant. Did you see where they got punked?

This group that pulls jokes on bad organizations sent out a press release

saying that the Chamber of Commerce was changing its position on coal I

believe. All kinds of reporters showed up and so did someone from the Chamber

but

the prankster kept going on like he was a Chamber member. It was funny.

The real Chamber guy had to pass out business cards to everyone but the joke

was on him.

The fact that they got punked is funny but the fact that they are killing babies

is not. This organization truly deserves to be marginalized and eventually put

out of business. I hope it happens soon.

Thanks for the post.

I wouldn't count on them going anywhere, anytime soon. DC still loves

their money.
