To grant and award money to medical and educational intuitions for new programs to help people with and too help other groups and individuals who may need a helping hand in a need of financial difficulties in Livingston, Monroe, Genesee, Erie Counties and through out New York State. Funding for a pair of leg braces and even helping with fixing a wheelchair that all cost money. Many families have trouble affording these essential items because of the mounting cost associated with these diseases. Adult Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Arthritis, Charcot Marie-Tooth Disease, Cerebral Palsy, Diseases of Peripheral Nerve, Fibrimyalgia, Heritarity Neuropathy, Inclusion Body Myositis, Lupus, Mitochondrial Myopathies, Motor Neuron Diseases , Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophies,Myasthenia Gravis , Neuromuscular Junction Diseases, Parkinson's Disease, and other Muscular and Neuropathies disorders. Friends & Families Muscular Disorders Foundation will be hosting the Golden Benefit Weekend Retreat for Adults with any form of muscular disorders and there care givers. June 2010 at the Rotary Sunshine Campus, Rush NY. This event will be full of fun, food, relaxation mini seminars and much more. At this time we are asking your input from you or your organization to take part with us and make this one of the best event around for adults and their care givers. With this type of get a way they can meet and understand way others deal and cope with there disorder in a relaxing way.
