Guest guest
Geri, Lest you view me as having it all, I am a very careful shopper and do not purchase what I do not need. Nor do I use credit. Last week, for example, I was looking for a few pieces for late fall and winter. Decided to stop in to my favorite thrift store (which benefits our hospital) and came home with a beautiful pair of hot black leather slacks, a multicolored heavy sweater/jacket, a tweed jacket, an afgan, and a new toy for my dog. (the clothing were all name brands) Total price for all was $28.00 Even with the cleaning, it will still be less than $35.00 Can't do that for less retail. Buying retail is not for me, since I know what's behind it. I always look for sales, outlets, daily markdowns, you name it. I limit myself to what's budgeted, as I have many other expenses. I shop a range from Nordstrom to Walmart at times besides the thrift stores. While I live in So. Calif. supposedly the home of the beautiful and well dressed, I listen to my heart. Like you, I am not my clothes. It's what inside that counts. However, I do like clothes! lol And the more unique the better! Love your yellow slippers. I had some pig slippers, but the dog had her fun with them...goodbye slippers. lol Gretchen e
