Guest guest
This about a past news report but it seems odd to me that 'CBS News' report is not on their national news but on a local channel. Also pay particular attention to the reason they say is the " unfortunate side of this news, at the end, where they say 'The Drawback is..... " . Basically they say the 'drawback is' there is no money in it is 'it's cheap'. This is why we need a *real*. independent research institute, like the NIH is supposed to be but is not anymore, and also why we should not accept the excuse pharmaceutical companies give for charging the exorbitant prices they do, " because they need the money to do research which benefits everyone " , when the research is almost exclusively for medicines designed for people to be on forever, like antidepressants, which really have a poor record, particlarly if person has a logical reason to be depressed, and not a 'chemical imbalance', erection medicines, now bone density products which need to be taken forever. Why complain about bone density products? Because in this, it is not due to research that pharmaceuticals have done. It is the case of the pharmaceutical industry *trailing behind the alternative health field and the over-the-counter product lines because 'boniva' and such medicines are only derivations of soy products and the miracle is adding 'estrogen' to your system to reverse bone loss, and phytoestrogen in soy has been selling over the counter for many years, and alternative health field has been compounding 'bio identical' hormones for women, which figures the exact amount of estrogen women should have, rather than the one size fits all of the 'boniva' products for years, so nothing special there either. These are primarily the category lately that their new medicine " discoveries " have been coming up with while this medicine which shows hope for a progressively debilitating disease goes without an attention because it's cheap, which means without the pharmaceutical companies doing trials on it, is will never be FDA approved and will stay in the " have to find out for it youself, and talk someone into it and pay for it " cateogory. Such an injustice. http://www.low dose naltrexone.org/index.htm
