Guest guest
I've been a member for a while, but disappeared after finally moving out of an umpteenth moldy house and going through a separation, however have been reading posts from the group and keeping up when I can. I finally have the opportunity to have a little financial help so I can get care-not a lot, but it looks like I'd have enough to get started with Dr. Shoemaker-my issues are not only mold injury, but Lyme Disease. I need the group's help, because I ran into a woman who I consider very knowledeable and has been fighting mold injury for a while, tell me that she felt seeing Dr. Shoemaker was a waste of money, that after all these tests she had to pay for, he prescribes the same treatment for everyone-cholesterymine. I have also heard a naturapath and a holistic MD say the same thing. I am feeling discouraged and don't know where else to look for someone who treats both these conditions and am trying not to panic because I am being given some money as a one time deal only so I cannot afford to waste it!! I realize I need to collect as much info as possible from people who have seen Dr. Shoemaker as a patient. Did he treat you with anything other than choesterymine? Were you able to use the info you got from the testing he did with you to further your recovery? If so, how? How did he treat Lyme Disease, if you also have that? Have you been feeling better, more functional, since you've seen him?.. Please please send me your feedback and experiences. Guest guest
Not everyone can take cholestyramine, but I'm sure that Dr. Shoemaker knows that after doing tests and getting a medical history from his patients.
