Question about nitrous oxide

Does anyone have experience positive or negative about the effects of nitrous

oxide on someone with CMT2? My daughter needs to have a cap on a molar that has

no enamel, the sensitivity on that tooth has become too great so she needs the

cap. She is 8 years old & has never had dental work before. I completely trust

her dentist, but am nervous because of some conflicting information I've read

about the impact of nitrous oxide on CMT. I know she will completely flip out

with the novocain shot, and the nitrous could help ease her anxiety.
