Guest guest
Jennie, warmly welcoming you here. Sounds like the Neuros are only listening with one ear. Perhaps you might try other pediatric neurologist, or Dr. Shy at Wayne State U. Yes, you are right, early intervention is best and can make a difference for later in life. 'Manning up or Cowboying up' are completely unreasonable for such a small child, so I hope you will find out everything you can about CMT and how physical therapy and occupational therapy can help. As for the daycare, perhaps giving the caregivers an inservice training about what Jediadh needs and doesn't need would help. There's a video and information here about 'Teaching kids with CMT' but it might come in handy for you to use in the education of the neuros, family, and daycare http://cmtausa.org/parents_kids/parents_story.php?id=20 Gretchen
