Low Voc/ No Voc paint

Looking at paint, reviews said many of the low or no voc paints don't adhere

well, that one woman wrote just her fingernail gently on paint rubbed it off and

thought maybe it won't smell when I put it on, but I will be breathing the paint

in over time if it flakes off. Has anyone heard this before. I need to paint

some woodwork trim and will have to wait until spring if I use regular paint

that has fumes.
