Guest guest
Okay, try to cut out ALL breads, eggs, milk (no yeast, gluten, eggs). In other words, eat only meat and veggies till the situation clears up. Stay away from all carbs for awhile... Eat clean. I know it sounds really restrictive, but it's necessary. Guest guest
Hi Cat. C.Albicans has been " amusing " me for over a year now. I'm starting to win by having adopted radical diet measures, NO sugar - in ANYTHING, NO refined carbohydrate, supplements regime, etc etc... Do a search for, " I cured my candida, so can you " , he has an inexpensive ebook for download based on a trademarked system called: " DetoXX " I've been following that. Relative to your parasites request, try: _http://www.bioelectric.ws/eng/ignition.html_ (http://www.bioelectric.ws/eng/ignition.html) Best Ed In a message dated 14/08/2005 01:30:45 GMT Standard Time, sindyblue@... writes: Hi. Guest guest
Hi Cat, I am sure hoping so. I bought a Terminator Zapper from a friend who is a dealer in the US and hoping it will help. Also my 14 year old daughter refuses to swallpow any pills...vitamins,supplements...anything and her live blood analysis last year showed bowel flora already in the blood where it should not be...signs of leaky gut which I am sure are caused by Candida. Would like her to try the zapper if it helps me. My biggest problem with the yeasties beasties is in my sinuses and my urinary tract. I know diet changes can help but I refuse to go on a " strict " diet....I did that 12 years ago under a naturopath's care when I was nursing my newborn son who had food allergies and dropped down to 100lbs for 18 months ( I am 5' 4 " ) I have NEVER gained back the weight on my face even tho I am back to 120 lbs. I look too thin in the face and drawn...and it is upsetting for me. I can't afford to loose weight again and I simply cannot eat enough volume of food every day, esp the protein levels my Thyroid Body type andType O blood needs to maintain a healthy weight by cutting out all of the things that seem to aggravate the Candida. I no longer immediately buy into another person's ideas of what is the right way for me to eat. My (ex) naturopath is a vegetarian and I hardly ate any meat while I was nursing my son .Being a type O/Thyroid it is no wonder I dropped so much weight.I looked like I had cancer I was so thin :-( I am certainly hoping the zapper helps with the Candida tho I am also interested in doing the cleanses. First step is to buy the book I guess :-)) Joanne Candida Albicans Hi. I¹m fairly new here and trying to learn. Guest guest
hello Cat, Do you eat a lot of sugar? that does feed yeast infections, also rinsing your mouth out once a day with Ligol's iodine. (6 drops to a 1/4 cup of water) Also yes the zapper should work, but you really want to isolate the cause of the reoccurrence and eliminate it. Joe S. FL Candida Albicans Hi. Opportunistic candida in the bowel arises BECAUSE dysbiosis allows it, and dysbiosis is caused by poor diet, i.e. not enough inulin, which feeds good bowel organisms. By adding the inulin back in you favour the growth of your probiotic organisms and the control the pathogens. If you have systemic candida, look for ozone therapy to resolve it. Guest guest
Hi Binu, A persistent yeast infection is frequently a sign of systemic candida and leaky gut syndrome. I suggest you research this at www.wholeapproach.com and www.askwaltstollmd.com. You will find many good suggestions there.

Guest guest
Thanks for your reply. The new study is posted on this site? Where? Also, the rest of this story is that I had a positive Strep infection on 11/22, started antibiotics (Pen VK) and Motrin 800mg tid. The only other medication I have is Enalapril 20mg qd for kidney disease. Since my positive strep test I have gotten sicker and now possibly have Rhematic Fever with an ASO (strep antibody test - yeah...I had to look that one up) of 757, way above what it should be. I've been referred to Infectious Diseases because no one knows what to do with me, I retested for strep yesterday because again...not feeling good...positive for strep still/again, now I'm on Clindamycin. I tested positive for etg in 9/07 (700) and 10/07 (800) but attributed that to some salami I had started eating - not sure. None since, until this one. Thanks for any help you may have. robin murray <remurraymd@...> wrote: ecoli and carbs and oxygen with yeast in bladder can make EtG up to 72000ng/ml according to a new study posted here mary...any vagina containing the same ingredients and a gluronide pool can do the same in theory... do not know of a concrete study...lorie or dd2 may be able to help further...many other causes medication exposure auto fermentation etc. any additional history you could give we might can help...regards,robin maryakropf <maryakropf > wrote: Im new to this group. Guest guest
Is it possible your antibiotics have caused a yeast infection? As we know by the study, yeast and glucose are 2 factors. Since you have kidney disease, it does not seem far fetched that you may be spilling glucose as well. Just a thought. -------------- Original message -------------- From: Kropf <maryakropf@...> Thanks for your reply. The new study is posted on this site? Where? Guest guest
Bioavailability 60% (oral) Metabolism hepatic (to enalaprilat) Half life 11 hours (enalaprilat) Excretion renal hi mary a lot of the drugs you are on are liver metabolized which will cause false positives more upregulation to EtG.your clindamycin will also do this.we see drugs taken even otc sneak up and cause false positives a lot.if you will go back a few months and look at posts by lorie and dd2 there is much discussion of urine EtG production in bladder of EtG.this was the first documentation of ecoli production of EtG de novo.i would suggest trying to get them to test with another biomarker or wait till you can get off of all these liver metabolizing drugs or odds are you will continue to have more positives.get your treating MD's to excuse you if you can until you are well or go to a %CDT test.regards,,robin Kropf <maryakropf@...> wrote: Thanks for your reply. Guest guest
2009 Mar 5;122(5):496-501. Insoluble beta-glucan from the cell wall of Candida albicans induces immune responses of human THP-1 monocytes through Dectin-1. Li M, Liu ZH, Chen Q, Zhou WQ, Yu MW, Lü GX, Lü XL, Shen YN, Liu WD, Wu SX. Department of Medical Mycology, Institute of Dermatology, Chinese Academy of Medical Science & Peking Union Medical College, Nanjing, China. minli08@... Comment in: Chin Med J (Engl). 2009 Mar 5;122(5):483-5. BACKGROUND: beta-glucan is the major structure component of Candida albicans (C. albicans) cell wall. It has been demonstrated that Dectin-1 as the principal C-type lectin pattern-recognition receptor (PRR) can recognize fungal beta-glucan and induce immune responses. In this study, we sought to clarify whether insoluble beta-glucan from the cell wall of C. albicans (CaIG) could induce immune responses in human THP-1 monocytes (a human acute monocytic leukemia cell line) and to determine the underlying mechanisms. METHODS: Human THP-1 monocytes were challenged with CaIG in vitro. The mRNA expression of Dectin-1, Toll-like receptors (TLR2), proinflammatory cytokine (TNF-alpha) and chemokine (IL-8) was assayed by real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The secretion of TNF-a and IL-8 were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). H(2)O(2) release was determined by microplate fluorescent assay. Western blotting was used to analyze IkappaB-a phosphorylation and degradation. RESULTS: Exposure of THP-1 monocytes to CaIG led to increased gene expression and secretion of TNF-alpha and IL-8. CaIG induced H(2)O(2) release in a time-dependent manner. CaIG hydrolyzed with zymolyase failed to induce gene expression and secretion of TNF-alpha, IL-8 and H(2)O(2) release. CaIG up-regulated the mRNA of Dectin-1, whereas the mRNA level of TLR2 was not altered. THP-1 monocytes challenged with CaIG resulted in the activation of NF-kappaB in a time-dependent manner. Dectin-1 inhibitor laminarin blocked the CaIG-induced production of TNF-alpha and H(2)O(2) in THP-1 monocytes, but no such effect was observed in pretreatment with anti-TLR2 neutralizing antibody and the LPS inhibitor (polymyxin . CONCLUSION: CaIG may play a role in activation of immune responses in human THP-1 cells through Dectin-1, not TLR2.
