Guest guest
Its true. I got sick working in a moldy basement with bglack and white mold up the walls. Ive lost my job my friends my health. I dont care what color or consistancy it is it is a nightmare! Janet In a message dated 9/12/2009 12:04:25 P.M. Guest guest
, good job! My family also lost everything (our home, all of our personal belongings, our careers, our financial security and our health), and I am very angry about the lies being told by the insurance industry and other stakeholders. Because of those lies, we still have not been able to find adequate medical care. I had to mention the vast amount of information stating that stachy is slimy because one of the experts commented that he has never heard of stachy being described as slimy. My daughter accidentally touched the slimy mold and she continues to suffer from bloody sores on her body. And, I agree with your other comments. If someone has not personally experienced this nightmare, then they can't begin to understand our losses and our anger. ________________________________ From: Meng <moldsick@...> Sent: Saturday, September 12, 2009 7:38:10 AM Subject: [] Who cares if Stachy is sticky?, white ,yellow, purple?? Guest guest
, There is no way I can truly understand what you have gone through and I am sure that what I can imagine doesn't cover the feelings of going through that. However, that doesn't mean I don't care about it. To help you understand the conviction and confidence that I have in Dr. Close's protocol in it's ability to " remedy " a moldy home. If you gave me your moldy home I would be more than happy to remediate it using Dr. Close's protocol and then move my family into it. I have an 11 week old son and as we all know moving a young child into something like this could be very hazardous, but I would feel confident that there would be no problems. This is because I have seen people who have had houses with enough mold to have mold growing on the chairs the tables, the carpet, etc. and after using the protocol and cleaning up a bit their health problems have diminished and eventually dissapeared. I have seen this first hand. The reason for discussing the use of essential oils on spores and particulate matter is this is part of the problem that even after remediation can be left behind and why people still have problems. People often think that the smell of the essential oils is just covering up the smell of the mold, and it's not. From what Dr. Close theorizes the essential oil blend actually digests the mold spores and kills the hyphae thereby removing the source of the mycotoxins. If you can remove the source of what is creating the mycotoxins and I mean truly remove it; then the mycotoxins, which as far as we know do not exist independent of mold, would dissipate on their own. I believe this is why Mr. Grimes has asked to review the case studies that Dr. Close has performed and published to either validate the claims or raise questions about them. To make this absolutely clear: assuming the essentail oil blend does digest the mold spores and reduce particulate matter and bacteria which can carry the mycotoxins into the air and into our bodies. Then by destroying these things you are removing one of the ways that mycotoxins get in your body. If they kill the Hyphae, then you are removing the producer of mycotoxins. Therefor you no langer have mycotoxins being produced in your home, and you no longer have their primary form of transportation into the body so unless mycotoxins are independent of mold and mold spores the mycotoxins would then be a non factor. That actually was the to some extent the point of my discussion with Mr. Grimes. Also you stated that you don't care about how the essential oil is diffused or processed of the effects. Well if the effects were to be the removal of mold and mold spores and particulate matter that can carry the mycotoxins and the eventual removal of mycotxins through either dispersion or potentially the oils then I don't see why you wouldn't care about it. The reason the experts were critiquing each other is because of a difference of opinion and this board is used to help people which Dr. Close's protocol has the potential to do. Since Mr. Grimes is not familiar with it he has to ask questions to verify that we aren't phishing and trying to take advantage of people. Finally you asked about what can be done to help those who can afford to leave their houses. Again this get's back to the statement that if you can remove what is creating the mycotoxins then if mycotoxins do not exist independent of mold you have your solution. As far as furniture and personal belongings it would depend on the type of furniture and the amount of exposure. There are things that cannot and should not be salvaged but wooden furniture with a finish should be able to be restored with cleaning. Items with padding should either have the padding removed and disposed of, this again gets back to diffusing, the level of penetration that the Thieves oil can achieve, and the fact that they can kill the hyphae and spores. As to the discussion on color of mold, I believe this is to try and help clear up a misnomer. Any mold that appears in the house is not necessarily toxic and a lot of people find what looks like black mold in their homes and think that they are in trouble when in fact it is nothing more than a form of cladisporium or some other genus/species that is not toxin producing (again verifiable from sampling and analysis). They are also stating for people that just because it is not black doesn't mean it's not dangerous and that it could be a toxin producing species. I honestly do feel for you and for others that are dealing with a situation where they have lost their health, their home, and so much more. This is truly why I joined this group; to see if it would be possible to help people in need such as yourself. Just because I haven't experienced what you have doesn't mean that I don't care about it and I believe the same goes for many of the experts. Guest guest
Josh, you need to be careful when you generalize your opinions to assume that your methods could " cure " every toxic mold situation. I agree with . I don't believe that diffusing oil could eliminate toxins. If that was true, then the U.S. military would have figured that out a long time. Our home was so toxic that all of the experts agreed that the only thing to do was to completely tear it down and rebuild and everything would have to be carefully removed, sealed and taken to a hazardous waste site. Some of the experts even stated that it would not be safe to rebuild on that soil. ________________________________ From: xnavyfoxm <josh@...> Sent: Saturday, September 12, 2009 9:21:33 AM Subject: [] Re: Who cares if Stachy is sticky?, white ,yellow, purple?? Guest guest
, I do appreciate your recommendation for care, and you are absolutely right, I probably shouldn't have said that. However, I do have to say that I do feel confident that if you follow the protocol that Dr. Close has set out then you could be safe, he has even used this as a preventative in buildings where it is impossible to get ride of mold conducive situations. However assuming the protocol could be followed and that the source of water could be eliminated then I would feel confident that no matter what level of mold was found in your home this protocol would be able to remediate it. We have done studies that have shown over 10,667 spores per cubic meter of stachybotrys chartarum in the air that was reduced to a total of 13 spores per cubic meter after 72 hours of diffusion and as the case studies have shown there is residual effect meaning that the spore count would continue to decline after treatment. This was also an area where the initial sample before had shown stachybotrys in the air outside. As to the U.S. Military using it. That would not happen because the production of essential oils is based on cycles, therefore the essential oils have a finite amount that can be produced every season. This is not something that would sit well with the military so they would find the " active " ingredient that is the anti-fungal or antibacterial or whatever specific agent they would want. Determine the chemical makeup of said anti-fungal agent and then synthesize it. This would then get back to people with chemical sensitivities having problems dealing with something being diffused in the air and quite possibly would only be as effective as bleach. Although the last part of that statement would be my personal opinion. *smile* Dr. Close has heard and talked to people that have lost their homes. That had the health department or the EPA come to their home and tell them they could only leave with the cloths on their backs and would actually burn their house down and sometimes their car because it was that contaminated. This was why Dr. Close took a very scientific approach to determining that the essential oil blend would be an effective remediation tool. He has even approached the EPA with his findings and since this is not a " chemical " anti-fungal agent is not something they will respond to as yet.
