Mailing lists often do not work the way a new subscriber thinks they do.

You subbed just a week ago or so. I've cc'ed the list owners so they

might contact you directly regarding this list's netiquette guidlines.

Please , take some time to learn the nature of this list and post

according to netiquette rules. Readers need ***supportive*** advice.

This list is for the emotional support of SBS survivors, and getting them

back on their feet, answering questions of new subscribers who feel

they are at risk. That is what I was told yesterday by a list owner.

Harsh words, uninformative posts, misleading or misrepresenting others'

posted words results in loss of subscribers, so your posting style is

inappropriate, imo. You should consider finding a different group or limit

your post here to being constantly upbeat, constructive and supportive

of everyone. Right?

What not to do is listed here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll

Quote:

In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory,

irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online

discussion forum, chat room or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other

users into an emotional or disciplinary response[1] or of otherwise disrupting

normal on-topic discussion.[2]

has very strict regulations for participation. Read them so to not

violate them.

Guidelines are here: local/guidelines.html

Conduct Rules are here: http://info./legal/us//utos/utos-173.html

Safety Rules are here: http://safely./blogentry?doc=groups

Harassment Rules are here:

The list owners may have additional rules not listed by .

You should contact Barbara or , and get up to speed for this list's style.

incorrect mask is more dangerous than no mask because it imparts a false sense

of security, safety and protection; the wearer is likely to do something with

the wrong 'mask' that they normally wouldn't do; this raises the likelihood of

exposure to contaminants that the mask is not designed to keep out.

I see agrees with my use the correct mask advice as evidenced

by his paragraph I included above, but he did not spell which mask to use, like

I did.

I provided criteria for mask selection, and information on the great range of

mask types.

Unfortunately, left out why he disagrees. Please , be very specific.

, this list is owned by two people, and they decide what the posting

standards are for this list.

I talked with both of them the last two days, and confirmed my understanding.

, talk with them yourself, to get guidance in the posting rules.

I've cc'ed the list owners on this post. They know I was going to

post an " Internet Troll " update for you the next time you tried

to ding me. So, this post is not off topic, and had to be public.

>And, make sure you realize many people are your audience, not just one single

reader.

That is not how this list works. Never has been. It's not a forum for gurus to

generalize.

It's a forum to help individuals in their time of greatness need,

when professionals have not been able to get them back to health.

>I am very concerned about people getting hurt by the wrong advice; or reading

the wrong piece of advice and thinking it applies to themselves.

The members of this list are much more aware than you are about how to

manage their health, and introduction of new methods and materials into

their homes. They have suffered, like I have, or worse. They always read

with a large grain of salt every post, mine and yours. They make up their

own mind.
