Guest guest
By now most of you know I was introduced to Asperger's Syndrome by a 10-yr old boy -- shipmate on a Galápagos cruise several years ago. Before long I had presented myself to a Clinical Psychologist for assessment, and yep, ...AS! Shortly afterward the boy's mother and I became acquainted. We (and the boy) met several times in their home. In the meantime, she completed her Master's in Counseling. For awhile now she's had a Counseling practice in the SF Bay Area, catering to AS kids and their relatives. Her practice's website: <http://www.evolibri.com/> ....whereon you'll find she's _conducting a survey_ (for the USA) about When and How and By Whom kids should be TOLD ABOUT their diagnosis. Including How and When *adult AS* think *we* should have been told. And what benefit do *we* think *we'd* have gained. Thereon also are links to who she is, how she came to do what she's doing, and what else all that 'doing' is. She's a competent, thoroughly professional lady: the survey is *short* and *confidential*. If you have opinions on the matter(s), please _take the survey_. - Bill, 76, dx AS -- WD " Bill " Loughman - Berkeley, California USA http://home.earthlink.net/~wdloughman/wdl.htm
