(NaturalNews) According to a report by the Organic Consumers

Association, a toxic chemical that is a byproduct of rocket fuel is

rapidly poisoning the food and water supply in the United States.

Known as perchlorate, this chemical has been found in 93% of the

nation's milk and lettuce supply in a recent FDA study. It has also

been found in the drinking water for at least 22 states at extremely

alarming levels. Perhaps the scariest statistic is that perchlorate

has been found in the breast milk of 97% of the mothers who were tested.

Bush Seeks Liability Shield On Perchlorate Pollution

BY PETER WALDMAN STAFF REPORTER OF THE WALL STREET JOURNAL

Word Count: 486

The Bush administration, in the name of military " readiness, " is asking Congress

to shield

the Pentagon and certain defense contractors from a broad array of environmental

laws --

exemptions that among other things could greatly diminish the defense

liability for perchlorate pollution in the nation's water supply.

Meanwhile, on a different front in the battle between environmental regulators

and

defense officials over perchlorate -- a component of rocket fuel that is turning

up widely

in drinking supplies -- the administration has decided to refer health questions

about

perchlorate to the National Academy of Sciences for further review. The pending

Vaccines are only PART of the problem facing all of us,

and our kids, imo. I hope all will consider the whole

picture when deciding who to vote for. It isn't just

polar bears and snail darters that need a healthy

natural environment to survive.

Sue,

I couldn't agree with you more about the vaccine issue just being one more

symptom of the

larger problem. Sadly, neither of the viable candidates is going to change the

situation.

We're offered the left and right wing of the Corporatist Party. Period.
