Guest guest
Its true that the weather can be miserable in the UK and Ireland however like the rest of the western world we have central heating, fires and all the usual paraphanalia. What we DONT get, in the main, are the extremes experienced in the US and Canada. As a result, its fairly simple to keep warm. Layering is king, lots of thin layers that you can put on or take off, woolly socks, insoles, hand warmers, gloves and you can do this with style, fashion and flair with a little effort. We have lots of nice shops over here:-) Having been home unwell for a few days the one thing I have experienced is being cold if I dont move about and sit around a lot so doing things if you can is important just to keep your circulation going.
